About

The phenomenon known as Sublime, arguably the most energetic, original and uniquely eclectic
band to emerge from any scene, anywhere, ended with the untimely death of lead singer, guitarist
and songwriter Brad Nowell in May of 1996. But encompassing the sense of place and purpose
long associated with Sublime's music, Badfish, a Tribute to Sublime continues to channel the
spirit of Sublime with a fury not felt for some time. What separates Badfish from other tribute
bands is that they have replicated Sublime's essence, developing a scene and dedicated
following most commonly reserved for label-driven, mainstream acts. Badfish make their mark
on the audience by playing with the spirit of Sublime. They perform not as Sublime would have,
or did, but as Badfish does.

    Badfish

by Tm on 3/12/24Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas - Las Vegas

I’ve been going to bad fish shows since like 2009 maybe even before then and they never disappoint.

Awesome Show! Takes You Back To The Sublime Style!!

by LB-G on 3/12/24Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas - Las Vegas

There are a handful of Sublime cover bands, but Badfish really nail it. They sound nearly identical to Sublime and the music is timeless. The venue (Brooklyn Bowl) is awesome and you can get right up to the stage if you want. The bar on the side stage is elevated so you get great views from there as well. Both opening acts were solid and it was a great night. Plenty of bars outside the venue to get your pre-game rolling. If you haven't seen this band and you like Sublime music, make a point to see them, you won't regret it!!

Excellent Concert - They covered it all! Amazing musicians

by CubanJohn on 3/5/24House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

Loved the whole concert and the opening bands. Badfish was amazing and played all the songs the way they were written, without improvising (they way it should be). The trumpeteer was an amazing musician, playing trumpet, guitar, electronic horn, synth, and with a great voice --- all done with amazing energy. Bass player was spot on and brought his A+ game. I'd see them again when they come around.

    Leaving it to Chance

by Gcp on 3/5/24House of Blues Anaheim - Anaheim

Attending their show will be leaving it to chance and that isn’t something I’ll ever choose again. Post Covid, I wanted to make attending shows a priority and was excited to see Badfish again. The show included two very long opening acts which felt like forced attendance and the tickets said “7pm” for Badfish. It was 9:45 and Badfish hadn’t started. By then, my feet hurt and I was over it. I essentially paid for two tickets to not watch Badfish. 😕

    great nite

by ashjazz on 2/12/24House of Blues Cleveland - Cleveland

great energy. Thought Quasi Kings were by far the best act. Really tight, better presentation. Every group had great interaction w/ one another but the Quasi Kings were really polished and their originals were really captivating. They're poised to take the next steps.

    Stinky Badfish

by Kenrad on 2/12/24House of Blues Cleveland - Cleveland

Not quite as impressed with the HOB concert. Sound was off and maybe it was where I was standing behind the sound board. The show at Nelson Ledges is better but too many cops there so I quit going to that one too.

    Mostly Really Great. Awesome Time!

by Concert Goer/Sublime Fan on 2/7/24The Pageant - St Louis

I absolutely loved Badfish. My first time seeing them and they did not disappoint. I'm considering making this an annual thing b/c I want to see them more! I also really enjoyed the opening act -Damn Skippy. I was surprised and delighted at how great he was. He made everything better every time he was on stage. The second act - The Quasi Kings - I thought was really dull. I LIKE reggae, but they seemed to suck the soul out of everything they performed. I was so bored during that segment. Except for when Damn Skippy came back on stage. He woke me up again, and of course then Badfish was amazing. I was on my feet dancing and singing along during their whole act. Awesome vibes, I just don't recommend that 2nd band. I don't think it was just me, either. I looked around the venue several times during that performance and no one seemed into it. Everybody looked bored.

    Always a great time!

by Concert Dwelling Roach on 2/7/24The Pageant - St Louis

These guys really embrace the true spirit of sublime. They have a BLAST on stage messing with each other while they play literally the best Sublime music outside of Brad and the boys. It’s truly an experience every single time. Seeing them at the smaller venue Delmar Hall in St. Louis last year then The Pageant (still St Louis) this year has been amazing. I will absolutely be at every single show they do in St Louis just like El Monstero. Great group of very heavily talented and amazing guys!

    Missed the mark

by Fish Fan on 2/6/24The Pageant - St Louis

I was hoping for more of a true Sublime experience. This felt more like a jam band festival. The music was great but it was more Phish then Bad Fish.

    Can't miss this show

by Tammy on 2/3/24Saint Andrew's Hall - Detroit

This show was an amazing experience! We have seen Badfish twice now, once in Houston, and once in Detroit. They immerse the crowd withe their music and have such a a vast array of musical instruments that it kept the crowd excited and wanting more. Members would come out into the crowd to play and it was so awesome to see them up close. This is the best cover of Sublime and I would recommend to anyone wanting to see an awesome show! You will be SO happy you went!

Brilliant musicians that still know how to have fun!

by Kev on 1/31/24The Echo Lounge & Music Hall - Dallas

Badfish was amazing and they deserve some real recognition! What blew me away were The Quasi Kings, they absolutely amazed me with their talent and I will be keeping an eye out for them!

by Andrew on 1/30/24The Echo Lounge & Music Hall - Dallas

The Quasi Kings were amazing, been dying to hear them since I found them 2 months ago. was extremely stoked to have Zach sign my shirt from my skate part and have a conversation with him! Badfish seriously needs to release an album, I cant just listen to the same single on repeat!! Kash'd was dope as hell, the performance was very much wild.

    Best experience!

by Ltobola on 1/29/24House of Blues Houston - Houston

We've been going to Badfish concerts for almost 15 years! This was by far the best show ever. Our now older kids, one who we named Bradley, can join us and sing along to every song. They brought along 8 of their friends to experience the love this band gives! Their latest single is pure fire, too! The band interacted with the audience, and it was an absolute blast! Check it out!
