About

With over three decades on the scene, Bad Religion are iconic stalwarts of the Southern California punk movement. Comprised of equal parts musicianship, rancor and intelligence, the band is known for their onslaught of well-crafted, finely executed songs of social commentary and sardonic wit. Tickets to their live concerts bear the holder witness to relentless, rapid-fire sets that span the breadth of their career, including entertaining diatribes of insight from frontman Greg Graffin. Their 2013 European tour featured over 40 concert dates across 15 countries, treating fans to extended sets of their decade-spanning catalog. Following the release of 2013's True North, which garnered positive reviews and peaked at No. 19 on the Billboard 200, the band kept fans guessing with the release of Christmas Songs, an album of holiday covers done in the band's signature spitfire style.

Since their inception in the early '80s, Bad Religion has remained vital to the identity of punk and hardcore. Their gold-certified 1994 album Stranger Than Fiction is a classic of the genre, gaining the band widespread attention and their first bana fide hit with the prescient "21st Century (Digital Boy)." In 2002 the band released The Process of Belief, garnering another round of praise from critics for hit single "Sorrow." With a whopping 17 studio albums and two live albums, Bad Religion has achieved commercial success without compromising their upstart ideals, and a legion of dedicated fans looks forward to their 2014 tour dates.

  • Picked the wrong night to see Bad Religion

by FidelSarcastro on 6/19/15Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 4 out of 5

Went by myself to see Bad religion. Two opening bands I had never heard of and never want to hear again. Then BR got up and said they played all their older songs the night before. They were good... I just set myself up to be let down by hoping for songs from earlier and going alone.

  • Amazing show!!

    by D7ave on 6/19/15Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

really enjoyed this concert!! Was probably one of the best I've ever attended. I got there early and got a choice spot right in front of the stage. Singing eye to eye with Greg Graffin was amazing and shaking hands with Jay at the end of the show was great too! They sound just as good if not better on stage as they do on record. Definitely wanna see them again!!

  • An amazing opportunity

by Allworries on 6/19/15Paradise Rock Club - BostonRating: 5 out of 5

To see bad religion at such a small club made me feel blessed, they played thirty songs with barely any rest inbetween songs, no trigger opened and also killed it and plague vendor was weird but good hoping their next cd is more like their live show

  • Incredible show

Any fan of live music should take the time to see BR in concert. Even if their genre of music is not your cup of tea, their stage presence and incredible sound quality is truly remarkable.

  • Bad Religion killed it as usual!

by F2LBLG on 6/12/15Music Hall of Williamsburg - BrooklynRating: 5 out of 5

Venue was rad and not over packed. Was able to move around and get a good view of the band without hassle. Bad Religion blasted through their 21st century songs and didn't disappoint! Plague Vendor opened up and were pretty damn good too. I had never heard of them until this tour with BR and they put on a great show.

  • Bad Religion -Battle of the centuries Williamsburg

by unodostres on 6/12/15Music Hall of Williamsburg - BrooklynRating: 5 out of 5

Bad Religion always deliver a great show, independently of whether they are in a huge venue or a rather small one, like the Music Hall of Williamsburg. I attended both nights of their Battle of the Centuries, where they covered 60 songs of all their albums in front of a fully devoted audience and a very large number of stage divers. The "Battle of the Centuries" format gave fans the chance to listen songs from certain overlooked (and often underestimated) albums, such as No Substance and The New America and also enjoy their classics and even songs that at rarely heard live, such as Part III (one of my favorites since I bought my very first Bad Religion album back in 1997, the live album Tested) and We're Only Gonna Die (the only video I took over the two nights as I was enjoying so much I didn't want to waste my time to get my phone/camera out of my pocket). Despite they did not play one of their man anthems (21st Century Digital Boy) and a couple of my favorites (What is it, No Control, Punk Rock Song...), the excellent performance by this legends of punk rock covered the entire span of their career and left no one disappointed, rather everyone fully satisfied. Those two nights were my 18th and 19th time seeing Bad Religion live (it feels so long ago when I saw them live for the first time when I was 17 back in Barcelona), and there will definitively be more, many more, for as long as this great band, among my very top favorites, keeps recording albums and going on tour.

  • They Still Got It!!

by Chucko78 on 4/17/15House of Blues Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

The show was, in a word, amazing. Dr. Grafin and company were in top form and my only disappointment was the Mr. Brett and Hetson were not in attendance on stage. The setlist was unparalleled to any other BR show, the energy, and flawless execution of their songs was very impressive.

  • Bad Religion was great as always!

Bad Religion was great as always! Changing playlist a little bit every night and playing with the strength they had 25 years ago!

  • Bad Religion: solid effort, nothing special

by Jaydubya73 on 4/6/15House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 4 out of 5

I saw Bad Religion at the House of Blues Houston on Friday April 3, 2015. Starting off the show was local band Dead to the World, and they put on a spectacular set. Loud, rowdy, and with almost 1000 people through the doors in time for their set, the pit was awesome. Next was OFF!, fronted by the legendary Keith Morris of Black Flag and Circle Jerks fame. They had serious energy and the songs only stopped long enough for Keith's witty between song banter. I'd like a chance to see them again, but as a headliner. Headlining this show, of course, was Bad Religion. They put out a solid effort and dug pretty deep for some songs you wouldn't normally hear live, like The Handshake. The only problem was that I missed a few of my favorites, like American Jesus, Walk, and 21st Century Digital Boy. Hard to quibble over the set list though, they've earned the right over 30 years to play what they want. I will say that somehow it's not the same without Greg Hetson. I was on the side of the stage with the rhythm guitarist, and the guy in Hetson's spot just kinda stood there, chewed gum, and looked bored while banging out the songs. If you've never seen BR before, I'd spend the money to check them out. If, like me, you've seen them several times before, save yourself the disappointment--this show didn't measure up.

  • AMAZING!

GREAT show! The energy was unbelievable! Bad Religion freaking rocked

  • Bad Religion & X at OC fair

by judus99 on 7/23/14The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5

First, it was a great show. X came on and turned us on to some classic tunes. I guess time was short as they did not chat up too much. They did not do encore but that just left me ready and wanting more music. Bad religion came on tore into it with a mix of old and new tunes. It was great. The crowd was cool and all ages. Good tunes good times. 11 dollar beers bit crazy though. I did not care for the distance of the seats I got but because the screens I could still keep up with what was happening on stage.

  • Good concert

by lmbrjackbear on 7/22/14The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 4 out of 5

First time listening to bad religion and one problem was the pa for the lead singer, it was a little hard to here what he was saying at times. Otherwise it was a good concert

Great show!! Not a bad seat in the house! Bad religion never disappoints!

  • Bad Religion and X still jam!

by Surftoker on 7/22/14The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 4 out of 5

It was a great concert. Bad Religion still brings a lot of energy to their music. The guitar jams were great, the drummer was great and the lead singer was great. X was good also, but being the opening band they had to sing a lot of songs in a short period of time. The pace was a little frenetic and for the first time, I saw some effects of time on the band.

  • X and Bad Religon on the same stage how perfect

by forgotname on 7/22/14The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5

This was deffinitley by far amazing for me & I went with my dad which made it more fun cause he had never seen them in concert and if I was asked to go again no doubt in my mind I would deffinitley go again.

  • x/ Bad Religion

by Friddle on 7/21/14The Pacific Amphitheatre - Costa MesaRating: 5 out of 5

X did not have a good sound but they were tight. Bad Religion was a little rusty on the first few songs and then they just blew up!! I wish they could have been a little louder but rules at Pacific Amphitheatre are there for a reason. Thank you to the artists and the entire crew for providing us great entertainment in our backyard.
