The bastard child of a Ramones/Strokes one night stand, Bad Nerves play ferociously fast
distorted pop songs and drew acclaim with their previous releases ‘Dreaming’, ‘Baby
Drummer’, & ‘Can’t Be Mine’. It would appear to be in the DNA of rock music, particularly
punk music, that the music itself happens by some kind of happy accident. Nothing truer
could be said of the Essex five piece speed punk band. For frontman Bobby, the formation of
the band itself was an unintentional happenstance that just wound up taking off in
unexpected but very exciting directions. Did band life choose Bad Nerves or did Bad Nerves
choose band life? It's hard to say.

They’re even better in a closed venue. I’ve loved the Masquerade for years and have attended upwards of 15 shows at the venue and this one is definitely somewhere on top. The energy of both the opener and the headliner were so well matched. Everyone was moving and the bands kept the party going with quick sound checks and a smooth performance. Bad Nerves is everything you want from live music and then some.

Great band, horrible sound

But the sound was horrible, all drums, some vocals, no guitar. My wife is a huge fan and loves all their records, and even she couldn't recognize some of the songs.

by JW on 10/7/23Rating: 5 out of 5This is the best young band on the planet! Got to see them in Boston this year opening for Royal Blood and they blew the roof off the place, then stuck around after to hang out with their fans. Great guys, great band!
