Since its formation by multi-talented musician and songwriter Aaron Bruno in 2010, AWOLNATION has redefined alternative music. With multiple radio hits at the alternative format, including 8 Top Fives and 2 Number Ones, the act has inarguably already made a permanent mark, not just in their genre, but across modern music. Most notably, the chart-topping, record-breaking, diamond-certified track "Sail" created a reference soundscape for a myriad of hits in the last decade. That song launched a career that already spans four albums. Megalithic Symphony, the platinum debut LP that also produced the gold certified "Not Your Fault" and two other Top 10 US singles. Sophomore album Run arrived in 2015, and the follow-up, Here Come The Runts, came in 2018. Then entering a creative partnership with current label Better Noise music, the band's fourth full-length album, ANGEL MINERS & THE LIGHTNING RIDERS, featuring the hit single "The Best," was released on April 24, 2020, and features collaborations with Rivers Cuomo of Weezer and Alex Ebert of Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros. In their positive review of the project, AllMusic calls it, "an energetic, fun, and compulsively listenable set that distills the best of what AWOLNATION can do: making pop-savvy, dance-friendly, alternative rock anthems that are not bound to traditional genre conventions."
That boundary breaking of genres continued in Bruno's creative calling, even more so as the world shut down in 2020. While quarantining, Bruno had the idea to celebrate music unapologetically with a team of talented friends - new and old. The result is the new album My Echo, My Shadow, My Covers and Me, a collection of unexpected yet passionately crafted covers and collaborations. Launched with the first single in January 2022, a powerful rendition of "Wind of Change," featuring Portugal the Man and Brandon Boyd of Incubus, the album also features guest performances by Beck, Rise Against, Jewel, grouplove and many others. The homage paid to each song's original artist is just as fun to dive into as the mutual respect heard in every note from both AWOLNATION and guests.
Recently, AWOLNATION has brought venues to capacity like The Fillmore (Minneapolis) and the T-Mobile Center (Kansas City).

Great venue. Very mellow crowd. Opening bands (Mysterines and Badflower) were pretty good and got the crowd going. Aaron Bruno is the absolute definition of "cool" in his suit. I've seen lots of great lead singers but never one as slick as Aaron. They played almost all their hits and of course Sail for the encore. One of the best GA shows I've seen!
It was the best way to end my 60th birthday! Loved the concert and the energy that AWOL Nation brings to their show!
Amazing show. The Fillmore in Charlotte was great. Great stage presence. Excellent sound. Would definitely see again
There was issues with the sound for all three acts. The mysterines came on first and after every song the band would stop and gesture to their techs to fix or change something with one of the instruments or the mic. During the next act there was a problem with the lead singer of badflower’s guitar so at one point he just threw it down. And unfortunately for Awolnation the lead singer’s mic barely worked so for most of the show I couldn’t hear him (I was in the third row in the pit).
I can't understand this man's vocal power, range, and stamina. Such a good show. I was a fair weather fan before, but I'm a die hard fan for life now!
They put on a great show, had the whoke crowd jumping
AWOL always brings the best energy. 3rd time seeing them live, never disappointed.
I don't know all of their music, I'll be honest. Specific key songs have meant a lot to me, so I make sure I see them whenever they're in town -- but primarily because they always put on a spectacular show, with an infectious and jubilant energy!
This band always puts on a good show! Aaron engages with the audience and really knows how to keep the energy up and going! Highly recommend seeing this band live while you can!
Everything was great. The venue, the bands, the drinks. Awolnation was amazing!
I saw him back in 2018 and again on October 6th and I love him! He’s honestly my favorite person and they are my favorite band! So glad I got to see him again
Great concert with good opening acts. This was my first time at The Fillmore and it was a nice surprise. With county parking lots nearby, it ended up being free as it was after 11 pm when I got to my car. It was icing on the cake moment !
Had an amazing birthday at the venue. Cant believe i got to be front row to see my favorite artist. 5 stars!
AWOL never disappoints. One of the best bands to see live, and one of the best group of fans you could ask for!
AWOLNATION was amazing as they always are, but Badflower I had never seen before, and I fell in love!
My 5th time seeing this band. 4 albums of amazing music, they are a show worth every cent. 10/10, recommend all see Aaron Bruno and co!
AWOLNATION is one of my favorites and did not disappoint, it was a super awesome show. Also it was my second or third time seeing Badflower and I am becoming a big they are a very good rock band and one of the many reasons I argue with people who say rock is dead.
Show exceeded all expectations. Aaron Bruno is a hell of a front man. Venue was easy to move around in. Beers were good and easy to get.
The sound was very low, vocals and instruments sounded like a smooth jazz elevator ride rather than a rock n roll show. Awol nation felt low energy because of it. Very disappointing. Please fire sound guy. Every fan seemed like something was missing
