Lackluster show
by Theatre producer on 7/22/25Awakening Theater at Wynn Las Vegas - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5We expected a lot more out of this production, especially given the hotel and the venue itself. The story was simplistic, which is fine, however, the execution of the story was boring, especially since there was no conflict or tension as the lead character was trying to retrieve what she needed to complete her task. The resolution at the end was also lacking any emotional tension
leading to the happy ending. The lead moved well, but needs vocal training. Overall, the acting was weak with the exception of the actor who played Light. He was very talented, but his song was completely out of place within the context of the show. There was also way too much dancing and not enough acrobatics and circus acts. The dancing felt repetitive and didnât feel like it served the story as much as it could have. The best thing about the show where the technical elements. The use of the stage and lighting were superb. But thatâs not enough to meet the expectations we had. The most important element in any show is the heart and the execution of the story. This unfortunately did not meet the expectations.
