An exhibit that all humans should visit

by Susanna on 4/23/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

Very educational and emotional- glad I attended and yet very sorry that this horrific event occurred in our world with educated people turning on their neighbors and being sucked into the rhetoric of a ‘madman’ leader- Let’s Hope and Pray this doesn’t ever happen again!!

    Sobering

by Tina on 4/23/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

It’s incredible that happened, the exhibit makes you sad and brings you to an awareness of what evil can do and to never let that happen again.

    Informative yet hard to see

by Minmin on 4/23/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

I would have enjoyed this exhibit much more if it wasn’t so dark in the exhibit room and was so hard to read the small print associated with the items on display. The signage was tiny and the lighting was horrible. some informative presentations about the rise of Nazis and the establishment of the camps.

    Awe inspiring

by Vicki on 4/23/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

This exhibit was amazing and eye opening. It’s one think to read a book on a subject but it’s truly awesome to hear the voices of people who were there and lived through it

    Powerful

by Avia on 4/23/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

It was a very powerful experience and it was so hard to believe that that could happen and it was ignored for so long. It truly makes you think that they should never happen again. It is a must for everyone.

    Would have been a 5 if…

by Jenn T on 4/23/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

This was a great exhibition. It would have rated a 5 , if a few less ticket holders were admitted to each time slot. Also , there was a lot of bottle neck with people taking pictures of every single exhibit . That really clogged some areas.

    Educational, sad

by Valerie on 4/23/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

The exhibit was filled with information, as much or as little as you choose. Although the topic was extremely disturbing it was a subject we all need to face.

    Well done

by Nancy on 4/23/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

Very sad and thought provoking. Hard to believe something like that could happen. There was so much hatred. Much like today. Let's hope it never happens again. Very well done.

    Don't miss this exhibit

by Cheryl Ringen on 4/23/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

This exhibit was so good. It made me much more aware of what happened at Auschwitz and the things that Hitler did to the Jewish people. Loved the audio tour that everyone had personally. It didn't always work correctly but good enough. The videos of people who survived and told their stories were very compelling. My teens seemed to enjoy the experience too. Made all of us think quite a bit. I feel that this exhibit should be required for anyone in World History classes so that they know what happened and how not so long ago, not so far away.

    Well done

by Cyn on 4/22/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

We went to the exhibit, and it was very well done. I knew it would be sad, inevitable. Still cannot believe that humans had to endure such horrible experiences and death. Thank you for enlightening all of us.

    Too much backstory

by Jeanine on 4/22/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

Too detailed, too much reading and headsets did not work. Interesting but too much detail for that venue. Took 3 hours to get through. Lacked “punch”.

A must see in these divisive times

by MeMyselfandI on 4/22/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

Humankind needs to be reminded how dictators, evil and narcissistic individuals can so easily convince their followers to commit horrific crimes against people who they believe are nonhuman. This is a warning that we not allow this to happen again!

    Powerful

by Boston on 4/22/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

Even though I’ve been to several Holocaust museums, this was still a powerful experience and gained new insights into both the horror and hope. Bring a friend if you can, as it is helpful to process afterwards. This is an especially important exhibit to visit today, and I was grateful to see several servicemen (& women) taking it in.

Too much reading. Not enough exhibited.

by Guylaine on 4/22/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

If you've been to Yad Vashem, don't bother with this. If you've never been to a holocaust museum, then go.

    History of Holocaust

by Susie on 4/21/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

Let me first say this was my husband and I 1st ever Exhibit and we were overwhelmed. I read a book from Mitch Albom called Little Liar and got me digging deeper into the Holocaust . I have read many books and watched videos from survivors and movies. In my mind I could not believe how this could have happened, but as today with the college students I am seeing this happening again before our eyes. Thee Exhibit was very good to detail I only wish the numbers on the wall were bigger, at times I found myself searching for them. Those are the numbers you would dial on the phone they gave you to hear about each section you entered . Though they have many postings on the wall to read many people are all around you so it’s hard to read everything. All the history and facts about the Holocaust were very informative. I think every school should bring their students to learn about this. Though it took us to Boston which we are not familiar with it was well worth the trip. We arrived for 10:00 and stayed 3 hours. We did this on Saturday morning great time to go. God bless to all involved. Thank you

    An impactful exhibition

by Garv on 4/21/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

There wasn't an event per se, but a powerful exhibition titled "Auschwitz. Not Long Ago. Not Far Away"that ran from March 15 to September 2, 2024, at The Castle at Park Plaza in Boston. This impactful exhibition brought together over 700 artifacts from the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum in Poland, along with contributions from museums and institutions around the world. Through these objects and survivor testimonies, the exhibition aimed to educate visitors on the horrors of the Holocaust and the importance of remembering this dark chapter in history.

    Incredibly moving

by Jenn on 4/21/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

This installation was an incredible look into a tragedy. There was a thoughtful attention to detail that allows the viewer to absorb a large amount of really sad and horrible information. It took us about 3 hours go through.
