About

For over two decades, Atmosphere has maintained a course of rigorous output, releasing over two dozen studio albums, EP's and collaborative side projects in as many years. In that time, the venerated duo have built a legacy out of bringing honesty, humility and vulnerability to the forefront of their music, continually challenging themselves to evolve without straying too far from their roots. Slug has proven masterful at storytelling and writing compelling narratives, leaving a trail of his own influence while paying homage to the rappers and songwriters that helped shape him. Ant has skillfully molded the soundtracks with inspiration from soul, funk, rock, reggae, and the wizardry of hip-hop's pioneering DJ's and producers, creating his own trademark sounds while providing the pulse for songs about life, love, stress and setbacks. At its essence, Atmosphere has been a musical shepherd, and with each new album comes a new journey as they guide generations of listeners through this thing called life.

This was an excellent experience and I would suggest it to anyone no matter what genre of music they are into. War Bonnet, Lioness, Dem Atlas opened as the crowd was settling in. These artists gave it all even though the crowd was building at the time. Artists mingled with audience after set which made for a personal experience. Low, Cloud Cult, Doomtree, and Atmosphere took the show to a higher plain as all the elements of a great show set in. I have heard many of these artists albums, which are good, but their live performance is 100 percent. If you get a chance, see any of these acts, you will not be disappointed.

  • Amazing.

I loved this concert because it was thrown to help save the Boundary Waters, because it was on the lake in such a beautiful location, because it had a cool vibe with different kinds of music, and because it was a nice trip with a friend. I loved the cup policy to buy back reusable cups and it kept the grounds very clean. I only wanted more food trucks to prevent long lines.

  • Magical Mix

by Chuck M on 8/19/19Bayfront Festival Park - DuluthRating: 5 out of 5

A rich musical experience. We enjoyed the melding of hip-hop acts with alternative bands, and how the groups grew in energy as the show went on. Doomtree, blew us away. Cloud Cult, we have to see them again, again and again. Simply amazing.

  • Great venue

    by S. on 8/19/19Bayfront Festival Park - DuluthRating: 3 out of 5

Great venue, but short sets and the food truck situation was terrible. 4 food vendors and no outside food allowed meant the lines were well over an hour long.

  • Great line up, great cause

Nothing more to say. Oh great venue and great weather too.

  • What a show!

by Salty Azz dude on 1/28/19House of Blues Houston presented by Cricket Wireless - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

I’ve seen Atmosphere multiple times in the past. Slug and Ant are by far my favorite duo in the hip-Hop community. The way he’s able to portray a story with such technical word play. They’re the best. He played all of his classic songs and some. HOB Houston was my first HOB experience. It was a nice venue. Small, clean and personal. But the alcohol prices! Geezus. Do not go sober or you will end up spending a lot of money on booze. All in all, great night with great music and a nice “atmosphere”.

  • Awesome!!!

  • Best Show Ever!!!

We ran into Sean Daily coming from the House of Blues restaurant bathroom. We took pictures with him and talked for a few minutes. It was amazing!!! The show was great. He's such a performer and he engages the crowd throughout the show. He has a lot of fans in Dallas. Next though don't have him do a Monday show. It's too hard to make a show on a Monday for most people.

Atmosphere put on an amazing show. I was disappointed with stage ae, as I've never been there and didn't realize I would have to stand. There is a seated area but you can't upgrade your ticket, you have to purchase entirely new tickets.

Love me some Atmosphere. My second time around seeing them in Detroit. I liked the previous show better; I think the Majestic is a better venue. I was also less impressed with the light show screens at this show. They were a little too flashy and distracted me from the actual performance. But it was still great. I would really love to see them perform "Get Fly" the next time they come to town. No matter what I do, I'm always coming back home to you. #lovelife
