Atif Aslam Live in Concert

Born Muhammad Atif Aslam in Gujranwala, Punjab, Pakistan, Aslam received an education in Lahore and Rawalpindi. The singer/songwriter became famous not only for his popular style and flair, but also for his recordings that have been used across the Pakistani and Indian film industries. He got his breakthrough into the mainstream in 2008 when he released his third solo album Meri Kahani, which was nominated for Best Album at the Lux Style Awards. The hit single "Hangami Halaat" was also nominated for Best Rock Song at the MTV Brrr Music Awards. A year later, Aslam sang the hit singles for the 2009 romantic film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. The opening act was extremely boring. Literally everyone was on their phones. She tried to get everyone on their feet and singing along, but failed miserably. You can't sing slow songs to rev up an audience. She was also playing her songs off of a stool on a laptop and dressed for a PTA meeting. Poor Atif Aslam; he's a great performer, and deserves a better opening act. As great as he was, though, his equipment was configured improperly, so whenever he hit high notes, the audio was unbearably bad. And instead of broadcasting his performance live on the large screen behind him, or even just an accompanying music video, they played Windows Media Player screen savers. A potentially great show ruined by inexperienced staff.

1- how unprofessional- the show began AN HOUR LATE. 2- the show had an interval- if u are going to star the show an hr late, then why have an interval! Patrons should get a 25% of their ticket money back!

So so - Even though Sunidhi Chauhan did her best

by CriticDesiShow on 7/26/11Oracle Arena - Oakland

Show started late with no communication why or when would it start. Arrangements were haphazard as there were a lot of walking by folk's around during the show. Songs were delivered beautifully and really enjoyed some parts but would not go again and would not be able to recommend to a friend.

    Sunidhi was awesome

    by raj111 on 7/26/11Oracle Arena - Oakland

Feedback is mainly for Oracle Arena, Sunidhi's group and Atif's group. Arena -- It's disappointing to see out-dated technology (screens, sound effects) in Oracle Arena which is at the heart of Silicon Valley. Digital screens all around are hopeless Sunidhi and her group -- Awesome! She is areal fire-ball. A ton of energy and amazing band. Atif and his group -- Very disappointing. I had a lot of high hopes from Atif, but it felt like he cam dunked on the stage. He was skipping, orchestra was loud and not in sync with Atif.. a very disappointing for this part of the show.

He is a good singer that is why we went but i hated his own songs, just the bollywood songs by him are good. His own songs were boring and full of bad american music, gave me a headache actually :( damn all these desi shows always start late then follow the same format, some bollywood dancers (Bad ones) then some unknown singer taking 1 hour of the show. Overall it was an average show.

by Seemster on 7/11/10Oracle Arena - Oakland

Without any frills or back ups he single handedly created great atmosphere, making the crowd to sing and dance with him. Wished he could have continued longer.
