    More Advertisement!!!

    by Professor06 on 9/12/13RFK Stadium - Washington

There must be more attention and detail given to advertising so that the attendance and popularity of the event will increase. More organizations need to get involved for sponsorship. AT&T and Comcast need to do more.

Great time...EXCEPT the thing that SUCKED!

    by 31Charlie on 9/11/13RFK Stadium - Washington

What sucked you ask? NOT knowing that the tickets I was purchasing were for the doggone BACK side of the stadium. "Cause of course I had NO interest in enjoying the half-time show and getting to see a black college band in person, for the first time in my life! Yes, I would have liked to have known that - , and NO, I am not an experienced purchaser of football tickets. I assumed that since Howard University was the home team that naturally, they would occupy the FRONT side, not the back. Yeah, the joke was on me. Too bad I'm not laughing.

Nothing better than watching two of the best HBCUs compete on the field.

We had a wonderful time! I enjoyed introducing my children to the HU tradition and seeing the band. It was also a great game.

This was an excellent event. This is exactly what the HBCU Football experience is all about. The only thing that could be changed is the commercials during time outs. Those times are for the bands to get the crowd extra hype. Also I am not sure if there was a restriction on how much the bands could play. Over all the Bison and Bear spirit was really high, which made the event an absolute success.

    HBC Football Classic

by EastsideDetroiter on 9/10/13RFK Stadium - Washington

I could not understand why the bands had their backs turned to us. Could not hear the music. Game was good to provide funds to HBC.

The AT&T Football Classic was a good event

by JOLSr on 9/10/13RFK Stadium - Washington

I have been to all of the classics and have enjoyed them all. That should be a clue that I am a HU alumnus. I will continue to support the classic.

    A&T Football Class/Howard vs Morehouse

    by Ione1883 on 9/10/13RFK Stadium - Washington

I enjoyed the game and event BUT one major thing almost ruined it: playing canned music and commercials throughout the game hence nullifying the bands and cheerleaders. When the bands entered the stadium, the PA system was blasting some rap song and no one would turn it off. The college game effect was lost. The atmosphere became chaotic with canned music and the bands playing simultaneously. It was impossible to get any school spirit or cheers going because of the canned music and commercials blasted between EVERY play. Who was listening? RFK stadium only has one screen and the sun was on it, so you couldn't see. plus it's small. What was the point? Somebody needed to realize that a college game is different from a professional game. We don't need canned music and commercials competing with the bands and cheerleaders.

    Great Time; Good Game

by WilkinsonSword on 9/10/13RFK Stadium - Washington

The Nation's Classic is always a Super Event. The game was interesting (my team lost!) and enjoyable. Most importantly, it is always a special treat to get together with old friends and classmates. The Nation's Classic is an excellent venue for that!

AT&T Howard vs Morehouse football RFK Stadium

by Juschiln on 9/10/13RFK Stadium - Washington

Seats selected were lower level and too low to enjoy the game with visual obstructions with Howard's team standing in front and not being able to see plays. We had to watch on the Jumbotron monitor. The halftime battle of the bands wasn't as exciting as I expected it to be. Both Morehouse and Howard performed facing the Morehouse side of the field. Those of us on the Howard side watched the performers backs thru the performance.

    Great Event

    by Juicyone1 on 9/10/13RFK Stadium - Washington

My fiance and I truly enjoyed the Event! We enjoyed having the college experience again at 44 years old, through the eyes of current college students. The game was great and the bands were even greater!

    Howard Football Classic

by Jazzintee on 9/6/12RFK Stadium - Washington

The only problem I had was that the statium staff made us leave our umbrellas in a trash can outside and when we returned our COACH UMBRELLA WAS STOLEN they claimed they took them because they didn't want people to open and block others view well we explained that we brought it for the rain not to block the sun in the stadium it seems they could let patrons bring them in and if they opened them either have the patrons put them down or then take them I AM PISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! $75 down the drain as a result I will not return to the stadium

    Could Take or Leave It???

by GwenieinDC on 9/5/12RFK Stadium - Washington

I went, saw, and experienced it. The Game was pretty good, but too many other negatives. Too many confused, over/under dressed folks and just an over-rated event. Way too hot to be sitting in RFK. Metro ride was good, entrance into stadium was good, not enough ATM's, food and drinks too overpriced. One big fashion show, seemed just as many people outside as inside. Game Announcer was a joke, and band half time show was hard to hear and frankly not that good?

I took my whole family and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. It had been a while since my husband and I had attended a HBCU event. My husband and I are graduates of Central State University and Wilberforce University in Ohio. This was our childrens first time. My 13 year old daughter really enjoyed the bands. My 15 year old son enjoyed the game. HU did a fantastic job of keeping us on the edge of our seats. It was a fun day......HU.....YOU KNOW!

    Great Game!! Great Crowd!!

by KPNJ on 9/4/12RFK Stadium - Washington

Attended the Nations Classic for the second year and had a great time!! The Morehouse & Howard U teams provided an exciting match-up, albeit the referees seemed to favor the HU team. Anyway, the half-time marching band performances were spectacular and I especially enjoyed the pre-game activities - seeing Slick Rick & Dougie Fresh was my highlight! Can't wait for next year!

    Must-See Event

    by YogiBear01 on 9/4/12RFK Stadium - Washington

I didn't get the opportunity to go last year to the inaugural season of this classic, but I wasn't disappointed. The game day atmosphere was amazing. The fans, alumni and students made this event worth going. The football game went down to the wire and had you on edge to the very last second. Whether you are rooting for either team, you will walk away with a great HBCU football experience!
