Ashley McBryde in Concert

Ashley McBryde on Tour

With each moment that country singer-songwriter Ashley McBryde spends onstage, she reveals she's 100 percent the real thing. From her rough-and-tumble, tatted-up image to her emotionally naked songwriting and unadorned, from-the-heart performance style, this is a lady who's not putting on any airs. Backed by a full band and letting her rocking side show through, or performing with only her own acoustic guitar for company, McBryde lays it all out in a full-throttle, no-nonsense fashion. She's a storyteller at heart, and that quality comes through whether she's singing a detail-rich tune like "A Little Dive Bar in Dahlonega" or chatting up the audience in between songs and sharing select slices of her life.

Ashley McBryde Background

Ashley McBryde comes from the school of pulling yourself up by your own bootstraps. Instead of waiting around to be discovered by a big label, she leapt into the fray and took matters into her own hands. The Arkansas singer-songwriter set about following her destiny in country music by releasing two albums under her own steam, the first arriving even before she made her 2007 move to Nashville. But after putting in plenty of hard work to get her soulful vocal style and compelling story-songs to a wide audience, McBryde eventually gained considerable traction. She released her major-label debut album, Girl Going Nowhere, in 2018, reaching the upper rungs of the country charts in the process. By the time the dust cleared, McBryde had been nominated for a pair of Grammys as well as nabbing the coveted CMA and ACM new artist awards in 2019. She rose even higher with her next album, 2020's Never Will, ascending to loftier levels on the country albums and singles charts and serving notice that her kind of country music had come to stay.

    Great Show

by Fischlaw1080 on 8/23/21House of Blues Boston - Boston

This was my first show since COVID hit and my 8 year old daughter’s first show period. Ashley is one of her heroes and she didn’t want to miss a second. Unfortunately with her being eight and most of the crowd being adults she got a bit nervous about being in the crowd and possibly getting crushed. We spoke to a Staff Member at the House of Blues who moved us over to the side of the stage near the seating for the differently abled. This allowed my daughter to get right up next to the stage without blocking anyone’s view and without any fear. The staff also helped her to get Ashley’s attention to our side of the stage a couple of times and got my daughter a wave. After the show one of the crew even went out of his way to get my daughter a guitar pick. Fantastic show, fantastic work by the venue staff! A perfect night!

    Late, Off, but Great Show

by BBetty on 8/20/21Irving Plaza - New York

This was my first show post pandemic. Showing Vaccination/ Picture ID status was easy as they did it in line while we waited and then stamped our hand to show we were verified. Getting a wristband in order to drink alcohol was also easy. Tickets said show started at 7:00pm. What they actually meant was that the doors opened at 7pm and it would be over an hour before the show actually started. At first, we all thought they were going to start at 7:15 considering the new rules and to allow everyone to grab a beer. But then everyone was through the line, beer in hand, and found their spots to stand, only to finish their beer before the opening act actually got up there. Then the sound was off. I'm married to a sound engineer so I'm a little more educated that the average person but at no time did the engineer leave his little hole to come out and check his levels. Poor Priscilla Block, brand new to live performing and many times folks could barely understand what she was singing. I know her songs and even I had a hard time. Then Ashley McBryde got up there. She had her own sound guy but instead of using his very nice and expensive sound board, he did everything through his computers which have inherent delays. As a result, the bassist was allowed to mess with the sound on multiple occasions and Ashley had trouble with her inner ear without resolution. Both sound people caused what would have been a phenomenal show to go down a level. I give them a little grace since I know how hard it is right now to find a sound guy but these two guys need to get more education on their boards and their craft- especially considering they were in NYC where their peers are more likely to be in the audience. Overall Ashley delivered throughout all the problems and really put her heart on the stage, I just wish the venue would have started on time and the sound guys had known how to do their jobs.

    Stellar show

by Dcatmomdenise on 8/10/21Robinson Performance Hall - Little Rock

Ashley McBryde put on an A++++ show! It’s a shame Covid created less than a packed house. I got more than my money’s worth and would buy another ticket tomorrow if she were returning that soon. All of Arkansas — country music fan or not — should be beaming with pride at what Ashley has accomplished without selling out her principles, yet retaining her humility. Work to bring her back to Little Rock ASAP!!

    Best concert EVER

by Ashleigh N on 8/10/21Robinson Performance Hall - Little Rock

This was my 8 year old sons first concert. He loved it. My whole family is Ashley’s biggest fan. I found her with her first song “Girl going no where.” It hit me hard because my daddy is the reason for my success and even though I am not in the music industry I too had lots of people doubt me. Then I started searching for her songs and I relate to everyone of them. She is my biggest idol. The whole experience was one of the best concerts I have ever been to.

    Always a good show!

by Flucie on 8/9/21The Orpheum Theatre Memphis - Memphis

Ashley’s concert always bring a tear because of the humbleness she shows for her fans. Her very own music comes straight from the heart and is felt in her performance. The random cover songs she does, are always fun and amazing! I look forward to another show!

    Great concert - but …

by SuziinTN on 8/9/21The Orpheum Theatre Memphis - Memphis

Loved Ashley McBryde and her opening act, Morgan Wade, was great. However, the band was way too loud and overpowered the singer. When it was her alone (only a few songs), it was awesome. However most was with her band … which were very talented … but overpowered the singer. Only caught about 20% of the words.
