Rachael Davis Tickets

Never seen a bad Scott Miller show. Never really seen anything but great Scott Miller shows. But Friday's show at the Bijou was exceptional. Maybe it was the forced isolation of Covid but there was an incredible energy from beginning to end. Rachel Davis was a great opening act, a srory teller warm-up to THE story teller. Scott and Byrn Davies were left and right halves of a seeming single musical organism. And as always the story telling was interesting, intriguing and hilarious. Don't stay away so long Scott we miss you.

Scott Miller was sharp though his stage presence isn’t what it used to be. The odd habit of always wearing a suit seems constructive but that’s his choice. Scott indicated he’d been “on tour” for the past couple of months and the show felt very much like just another night on tour. This is odd for Scott as he spent many of his formative years here in Knoxville and he has a much larger following here than elsewhere (I assume). So for him to go through the motions was disappointing for many of his fans. I enjoyed the show and as always Bryn Davies (sp?) was amazing on upright bass. I spent most of my evening listening to her bass licks. She never fails to amaze.

The venue felt safe and Scott Miller put on a great show.
