Rolo Tomassi on Tour

Mathcore, progressive punk, post-punk, heavy metal, and alternative rock are all appropriate ways to describe the English rock band Rolo Tomassi. Their 13-stop 2022 tour across the United States follows the release of their 2022 album, Where Myth Becomes Memory. The group also has a 12-stop European tour scheduled for 2023, with stops  in Belgium, Germany, Denmark, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, the Netherlands, and the UK. Continuously changing since their 2005 formation, the current band's lineup consists of Eva Korman on vocals, James Spence on vocals and synthesizer, Chris Cayford on guitar, Nathan Fairweather on bass, and Al Pott on drums. Powerfully dynamic, Rolo Tamassi's unique combination of metal-infused alternative rock leads to an unprecedented and extreme live performance. The band released their debut album, Hysterics, in 2008 after being signed to Hassle Records. Continuing an onslaught of musical creation, Rolo Tomassi released their second, Diplo-produced album, Cosmology in 2010, followed by Eternal Youth in 2011, Astraea in 2012, Grievances in 2015, Time Will Die and Love Will Bury It in 2018, and Where Myth Becomes Memory in 2022.

Rolo Tomassi was formed by siblings Korman and Spence in Sheffield, England in 2005. Potentially alluding to their indefinable nature, the experimental rock group was named after the fictional character in the 1997 film L.A. Confidential. Rolo Tomassi's sound has been influenced by Converge, King Crimson and John Coltrane. The group signed with MNRK Heavy in 2021 and released the singles "Cloaked," "Drip" and "Closer" before releasing Where Myth Becomes Memory. Although quite not a household name, Rolo Tomassi maintains more than 78,000 monthly listeners on Spotify with their song "Aftermath," from their 2018 album, Time Will Die and Love Will Bury It, at the top of their popularity with more than 1.1 million streams.
