    Love the Villagers

by AHVerma on 8/13/13Brighton Music Hall - Boston

The show was great! The Villagers are amazing, and they sounded fantastic, as usual. I really appreciated that the band took the time to mingle with fans at the end of the show. They were all very friendly and down-to-earth. My husband and I are dedicated fans and go to see them every time they're in town. It's amazing that Conor remembers us and is always happy to chat.

Nice and decent concert hall. Small and intimate => perfect for this band. Villagers is a great band, you all should totally go see them.

Villagers delivered an astounding performance, from the first acoustic chords to a loud ending. I wish they played again today!

Villagers PHENOMENAL First New York Show

by roundabritt on 6/13/13Bowery Ballroom - New York

I've been a fan of Connor O'Brian and co's work for a couple of years -going so far as to order their latest album on its UK release date rather than waiting for the US release- and seeing them live...AMAZING! Their live sound surpasses any and all high expectations. Had they played a second New York show, I would have been there. Regardless, I'll be there next time they're in town.

    Excellent Show!

by JoeHamster on 6/13/13Bowery Ballroom - New York

Villagers put on a great show at the Bowery Ballroom. The sound was great and both Connor O'Brien's acoustic pieces as well as the full band stuff were well executed. The acoustic version of That Day was the highlight of the night for me. Very powerful!

San Fermin and Villagers were great

by Moss77 on 6/12/13Brighton Music Hall - Boston

Really enjoyed the opening band, San Fermin. Great unique sound and instrumentation, but the venue Soundman did them no favors in terms of balancing the sound. Too bad because there was a lot of subtlety in the music and performance. This band is an up-and-coming star. The Villagers were stunning in the clarity and articulation of their music. Great performance. As for the venue, everything was too loud for the size of the crowd. If it is an intimate setting, make it an intimate show. Would it kill you to put some chairs and tables out on a light night and have the bartender circulate to drum up drink orders to make a little more money? The look of the room would change dramatically and the experience would be greatly enhanced.
