About

AJR IN CONCERT:

New York-based brother band AJR is generating significant buzz with their unique blend of barbershop harmonies, dubstep beats, and internet-savvy lyrical references. The trio's success with debut single "I'm Ready" has inevitably drawn comparisons to fellow brother outfit Hanson, but AJR's eclectic sound and DIY approach put them in a category all their own. From bright handclaps and playful samples to energetic ukulele and guitar strumming, AJR have crafted an endlessly creative sound that always leaves fans wanting more on their unforgettable tours.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

AJR is comprised of brothers Adam, Jack, and Ryan Met. The native New Yorkers got their start as street performers, playing covers of songs by the Beach Boys and Vampire Weekend in parks around Manhattan. The brothers released their  debut single "I'm Ready" in 2013, tweeting it out to a number of celebrities in the hopes of getting discovered. The tactic worked -- the song caught the eye of SIA, who helped AJR secure a management deal. As the group's reputation continued to grow, they made their first TV appearances with performances on Good Day New York and VH1's Big Morning Buzz show. In late 2013 AJR released the I'm Ready EP, a solid debut that earned them opening slots on tour with big-name acts like Demi Lovato and the Wanted. A rising young act with talent to the gills, AJR have ticket buyers eagerly awaiting their upcoming tour dates.

    Too Loud!

by KKlevens on 5/3/24Climate Pledge Arena - Seattle

AJR was great but it was so loud we had to find ear plugs and frequently take breaks. It would have been a more enjoyable experience if it weren’t for that. I recently attended a concert at Climate Pledge and had no issues with the sound. Such a bummer because AJR was really fun.

    Good

by Mum on 5/3/24Chase Center - San Francisco

It was a good concert at Chase. Merch lines were long but moved semi-quickly. Opener Dean Lewis was pretty talented. AJR was entertaining, I think they played for about an hour and a half or so. They put on a Decent show, sometimes the sound was a little distorted or maybe it was just where we sat. It was fun to go with our kids. Just not a very long concert.

    One of the best!

    by miles b on 5/3/24

AJR has been in my area multiple times over the years, but I did not have a chance to attend one of their concerts until now. After going, I can safely say I 100% regret not going sooner! Amazing special effects, great sound and performance from the violinist and trumpet player, and a truly worthwhile experience. If you're on the fence about attending one of their concerts, just do it! Jack's dancing alone will make it one of your favorite concerts you've been to.

This was my 2nd time seeing AJR in concert, and they keep getting better! The live music, graphics, and choreography, were awesome! I would rate this concert more than 5 stars if I could! Thank you Adam, Jack, Ryan, and the whole crew for all the work that went in behind the scenes to make the tour possible.

    AJR was AWESOME

by Sierra Z on 5/2/24Chase Center - San Francisco

One of the best openings to any show I've ever been to! Their creativity and energy is unmatched. I knew a couple of their songs but bought the tickets for my 12 year old. Now I'm a HUGE fan too! Can't wait to see them again.

    So fun and so relatable

by P0lychic on 5/2/24Chase Center - San Francisco

Love AJR and how fan friendly they are! The sing alongs in the audience were a nice touch and a different perspective. Set list was a great mix of their older to newer songs and my 13 & 15 year olds were all smiles the whole time. I appreciate the energy they bring to their show and how they appear to enjoy what they do! Looking forward to seeing them the next time they come through the Bay Area. The Chase Center was great. It took no time at all exiting from the venue even though there were 11k people there and there were several Muni buses ready to take people back to the BART. Overall just a really great experience especially for a Monday night concert.

    Killer Show

by MDR on 5/2/24Chase Center - San Francisco

“Show” being the operative word. Great theatrics, music, crowd engagement. If you are an AJR fan at all you will love it. If this is the first time you’ve even heard of them you still might love it.
