Princess Chelsea Tickets

Princess Chelsea played an incredible show at the Foundry in Philadelphia. The seven member group played their set with a high level of intensity that made each song engaging and memorable. Led by Princess Chelsea who truly appreciated the support of the audience. The band proved to be a well oiled machine that consistently impressed the audience with guitar solos (one using an empty beer can), intense drumming, and wonderful harmonies. The performance was amazing and demonstrated that they are a live act not to be missed. As this tour was the band's first visit to North America, they should be invited back soon. They proved to be another great band from New Zealand and their impressive music scene. Very highly recommended.

One might think they were in for an evening of cute songs about internal chaos, but onstage, with a band that has all the vitality and spunk of Pixies and Sonic Youth in their prime, the facade of barely held together emotional turmoil erupted into a glorious, feedback laden wall of sound. Scream therapy with complex musical underpinnings. On a personal note, there were about three moments when the lyrical content hit a nerve and the songs felt cathartic. It was like a year of therapy. Princess Chelsea taps into something that most people don’t know they need to hear, stealthily, and then turns the spigot to eleven. This pretentious review is full of terrible pull quotes. Enjoy?

From the first sonic moment, Princess Chelsea’s band rolled out full landscape for us to begin to traverse. The Presence of each member, glowing and pulsing light holding space, and creating a perfect aura to be lifted into another realm. The journey that we were afforded, if we were willing, was one perfectly woven. The vulnerability, and journey back to the true self was unlike any other. Princess Chelsea‘s heart vibrated out, carrying my son and myself into a swirl of true purpose, raucous joy, and unbridled bliss, a true recapitulation of the human journey. The trance that was created informed my greater soul and I will carry it with me for the rest of my days.

I saw her in LA the previous day, and loved it so much I came down to OC to see her again, and she played a different set. More people should know about her. Such great songs and a talented band.
