Sara Bareilles in Concert
Long before "Brave" hit the charts in 2013 and became her signature tune alongside the 2007 smash "Love Song," California-based singer songwriter Sara Bareilles's music embodied the word. Finding strength in vulnerability as well as her stomping, striding piano lines, the self-taught musician has made her name exploring the complexity of love and attraction with unflinching honesty and incredibly catchy hooks. Her style is pop in almost the classical sense of the word, with songs that directly relate with ticket buyers no matter what they are predisposed to like, as she shown on tours with the likes of Counting Crows, Maroon 5, and Sugarland. All of that touring paid off on her third full-length studio album, The Blessed Unrest, which debuted at #2 in the spring of 2013, right behind Jay Z. She showed herself to be in total command of the studio, as displayed in the anthemic "Brave," which she co-wrote with Jack Antonoff of the band Fun. But while she flourishes with layers of sound or fronting a rollicking band, Bareilles is just as powerful sitting at a piano by herself, which she proved with the October 2013 solo concert DVD and album, Brave Enough: Live at the Variety. Whatever the setting, her authenticity and ability to musically reveal her own truth cannot be denied.
Bareilles is going on a 30-city tour in 2019 celebrating her fifth studio album, Amidst the Chaos. The tour begins at the Fox Theatre Detroit on Oct. 5. She will visit Chicago, Boston, New York, St. Paul, Phoenix, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Pittsburgh and Orlando before ending the tour on Nov. 26 at the Fox Theatre Atlanta.

Sara B is the very best. My favorite musician I’ve ever seen live. ❤️
Sara has an amazing voice and is a wonderful performer. She entertains with her music and banter.
Sara is such an amazing funny engaging talented woman. Loved the show and her music
She was the perfect artist for the occasion- legal support fund for abused women and their children. Not a dry eye in the house- especially for the offerings Armor and She Used To Be Mine. Added bonus: she’s an engaging and hilarious connector with her audience. The palpable love was delivered equally in both directions. Brava Sara!
Sara Bareilles in concert was AMAZING. Her vocal abilities are incredible and I would love to see her many times as possible. I am so glad she came to the Capitol Theater!
Sara Bareilles is an incredible performer. I felt like I was sitting in her living room. Wish I could relive this night!
What a fantastic show! Just Sara and a piano and nothing else was needed due to the sheer awesomeness of Sara Bareilles. It was like an evening hanging out with your super talented, cool friend for an incredible cause. She is a force and seems to be a badass woman who is just a pure talent.
Having seen Sara at MSG in 2014 our expectations were high! That said Sara, solo with just a piano was pure perfection. The narrative she spun while performing her "Greatest Hits" exuded honestly and openness and the audience soaked it up. Doing so at a benefit for victims of Domestic Violence just makes her even more of a #Shero. We're on to watching "Little Voice" on Apple TV and it's a great way to learn a bit more about the extreme talent that Sara is. It does beget one question; is the guy who decided the song Little Voice didn't belong on the album still in the industry? If so I hope he has admitted making a BIG mistake, huge in fact and he owes an apology to Sara even these many years later when she is a bona fide super star.
Sara has one of the best voices of our day and her talent is endless! She sings and plays the piano beautifully! I could watch and listen to her everyday! She is also fun and funny she made it a great memorable night! I will never forget it and can’t wait to see her again!❤️
Sara was great as always but this night was different. She was performing for a cause and the fans were there to see her. She gave a performance for "her friends" and her friends knew the words to every song. She was really enjoying herself and the fans could sense it. This was a lovefest as if in Sarah's living room. I have seen her before and she always gives it her all. This night she gave more than her all!! A night to remember.
