Taking Back Sunday Concert Schedule and Tour
Taking back Sunday’s third album Louder Now propelled the band into the mainstream, peaking at at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart. Having recently completed an impressive 10th anniversary tour, rock band Taking Back Sunday is now looking forward to a second decade of success. Those who were at the “Tell All Your Friends” tour in 2012 sang along with the band as lights flashed on stage. Lead singer Adam Lazzara roamed the stage and leaned into the crowd as her performed, making his presence larger than life. The band's last album is the eponymous Taking Back Sunday, which, like the concert tour, brought back the earlier rock style that had first made the band so popular when it released "Tell All Your Friends" in 2002.
Prior to the 2002 release of debut album Tell All Your Friends, Taking Back Sunday began in 1999 as a musical effort spearheaded by Eddie Reyes. In the band's first few years of existence, it experienced several lineup changes. However, by 2006, an improved relationship among the band's new lineup allowed for the recording and release of the group's breakthrough album, Louder Now. As the band's first full-length album produced by a major record label, Louder Now signified a major departure from the band's original style. This album personified the renewed energy and vigor possessed by the group, a quality many fans noticed in concert. Since then, Taking Back Sunday has continued to impress with its vitality, even as it’s incorporated some of its earlier musical elements in "New Again" and "Taking Back Sunday." Fans are eager to hear what new direction the group will take as it announced an upcoming 2014 album on Twitter.
will definitely be seeing them again ❤️ had so much fun
Before the show venue staff refused to allow people to stand in the line area and forced all to move across the street even when one of the bands were doing a meet and greet in front of the venue
The venue was not completely sold out so they moved everyone inside and closed the lawn doors. Which was nice because it has been so hot lately.
Me and my daughter went to Sad Summer last weekend. Everything was wonderful. We have seen Taking Back Sunday 20+ times and they are still as wonderful now as they were back then. The venue was great, the security were the best and the event was everything and more. Thank you Ticket Master/Live Nation for the help on bringing them back to the Dallas area. Can't wait till next time!!!
I've seen Taking Back Sunday 3 times and every concert has been super good!!! This last one was even better than I expected it to be. They never disappoint!
All of the bands were great except for the headliner, Taking Back Sunday. I have nothing else to say other than they kind of sucked. As for the venue, very nice, feels great with the lawn closed, but the drinks. I don’t know how you expect drinks not to be spilt when the cups lids do not stay on and the room is filled with a bunch of drunk people throwing it back and boogieing.
This was my first time seeing Taking Back Sunday live and it certainly won’t be the last, Adam is an entertaining as hell frontman and the entire band just puts on one helluva show
I’ve seen Taking Back Sunday. I think the bands sound was off compared to previous times. Between Adam’s voice slowly going and the huge technical mic problems, the show was not as good as other times. TBS still put on good showmanship but ultimately not as comparable as past. New bands like Stand Atlantic, Hot Mulligan, Sincere Engineer, etc definitely out performed in my opinion.
The venue was awesome! Drinks and food are SUPER expensive. Discovered new bands at SAD Summer but Taking Back Sunday was so disappointing. People were leaving in large groups when they were up next. After 2 songs I realized why. The performance was terrible by front man. Very disappointing and wish I'd seen them live years ago. The Maine was awesome!!
The lead singer began the concert by stating that they were better than the other bands that performed before them. Yet, he started to sing in a mumbling voice that was the worst of all the bands that performed that day. Not to mention his stage presence was horrible as we acted drugged out.
The show was sloppy. Adam gave long rambling banter in between songs while trying to figure out what song was next. Several people around me left during their set. The sad thing is there were still good moments in there so if he took it serious you know it would have been a great show.
The show was so awesome. Had a ton of fun. Would love to see them again.
I thought all the bands that I heard sounded great and they had good energy. The place was just kinda empty. I don’t feel like y’all really marketed or promoted the event enough to get people there. After I bought my tickets I don’t think I saw one single ad or promotion about the event. Loved the bands though.
Such cute photo opps set around the entire venue. Awesome food truck, Ardys. Highly recommend!
I absolutely love going to shows at TCU Amp. I am so glad Sad Summer Fest finally decided to stop in Indy! I hope they come back again to the same venue! It was such a good experience. Staff made sure us in the pit had water in between sets.
I am not really into punk music, but a friend asked me to join her and gifted me the ticket. I enjoyed the show! The band was entertaining and the music was pretty good. Enjoyed my time
The music was great. Adam is super entertaining. They put on a great show.
The whole vibe of the Sad Summer Fest was really chill and relaxed. My bestie and I had a great time! The way everything was set up was cool, the decorations were cute, there were photo ops everywhere, and this was some of the best festival merch I've ever seen! I love the Andrew J Brady venue, seen a few concerts there and they're always great. The sound system is amazing and all the bands sounded awesome! We had such a good experience!
This was my first time going to Sad Summer Fest. I have previously been to festivals such as Riot Fest and Warped Tour so the bar was set pretty high. I did not have the highest expectations for this festival but it barely lives up to “acceptable”. Parking was easy to find, we spent $35 for the parking garage by Soldier Field (this was expected considering where Northerly Island is). I really appreciated that there was lots of time to meet the artists. The venue was stupid expensive, drinks started at $13.50 and then were taxed to high hell. Speaking of which when I originally ordered tickets, there was a $70 “Chicago” tax on them along with a $35 tax. The set up sucked. They should have had all standing space up until the permanent bleacher style seats, instead of the rows and rows of folding chairs that were zip tied super close together. We did not buy pit tickets but wished to upgrade them once we got there, to which we were told they were completely sold out despite the fact the pit was never more than half full nor was it ever similar to the energy brought at Warped Tour or Riot Fest. The crowd seemed to never really be into any of the artists. Talking Back Sunday just flat out sucked, they should not have been the headliner. The only thing that made this concert memorable was that it was the first I took my younger sister too, otherwise I wouldn’t waste my money on this again. And I will most certainly never come back to Huntington Bank Pavilion until LiveNation no longer runs it.
Venue was really clean and vendors were nice and helpful. Sound sounded great.
