AMAZING SHOW!
by rdebose on 4/29/24The Echo Lounge & Music Hall - DallasI happened upon a Dirty Loops tune on YouTube music one day and I was hooked! These guys are playing a different game than the rest of us. I've never seen more technically proficient players in my life, and they do things that humans should not be able to do musically. So when I saw that they were doing a show in Dallas, I was all in! I had high expectations for the show, but i realized that what I was hearing recorded wasn't going to be what I'd hear live, and I was ok with that. Boy, was I wrong! They added another player on keys and vocals in the live show, and he was just as good as everyone else on the stage. I saw and heard what these guys were throwing down, and was once again baffled on how someone could be that good. Amazing, and I mean AMAZING, vocals from Jonah Nilsson. I'd rupture my spleen if I even tried to do what this guy does. I don't remember the name of the 2nd guy on keys. He was so locked in it sounded like an extension of Jonah. Tremendous! Aron Mellergård is one of the best drummers I've ever heard. So much energy and precision, nothing seemed to be done by chance, intricate, accurate and calculated. And what can be said about Henrik Linder. His talent is otherworldly. I know sometimes he throws down a riff and thinks "I KNOW you ain't never seen that before..."On top of that, he did the show in a Bucee Beaver jumpsuit. Texans will know... I sincerely wish the best for the band, continued success! Keep the music coming, and COME BACK TO DALLAS!!!
