Air Supply on Tour
For a group so strongly associated with defining the pop template for a particular era, Air Supply have proved to be impressively timeless. Their blockbuster hits from the 1980s still stand up as strongly as ever with mellow, melodic charm. And after all the water that's passed under the bridge, frontmen Russell Hitchcock and Graham Russell are still hitting the stage together, entwining their voices to achieve the same magic that's sold millions of albums and earned them adoring fans around the globe. While their tours have offered something special in every era, Air Supply took their live show to another level when they launched their 2019 jaunt The Lost in Love Experience, presenting their hit-heavy set with the esteemed assistance of the Prague Philharmonic Orchestra and achieving an even grander onstage sound than ever.
Air Supply in Concert
Aussie singer Russell Hitchcock and British singer-songwriter Graham Russell, the team that makes Air Supply breathe, first began working together in Melbourne back in 1975. They released their first, self-titled album a year later, but initially achieved only modest success in Australia, and it took a few years for them to break out in America. The big moment finally came in 1980 with their fifth album, Lost in Love, which turned out to be a monster in the States. The record bowled Americans over with three huge hit singles: "All Out of Love," "Lost in Love" and "Every Woman in the World." Between Hitchcock and Russell's vocal blend and the melodic appeal of their carefully crafted pop ballads, Air Supply became full-fledged stars. If anyone ever wants a definition of what adult pop was about in the first half of the '80s, you need only point to Air Supply, whose hits defined the adult contemporary sound of the era. But the Air Supply story extends far beyond the '80s — Hitchcock and Russell have never stopped bringing their music to the fans, and they continue to pump fresh oxygen to a waiting world.
It was a awesome venue and brought back memories of the late 70s and 80s
We have seen Air Supply several times over the years and Russell Hitchcock's voice never seems to waiver. They've still got it! LOVED the show! It was so great to see so many MEN singing those love songs.
The sound, the songs - took me right back to my high school years. So many memories. They sounded just like the used to on albums.
Attended with 4 of my closest high school friends. Loved the songs and the band! We had so much fun. Brought us back to many years ago!
Awesome show from beginning to end! We had VIP sound check tickets. Got to meet the guys, have our picture taken with them and a nice Q & A session. Couldn't be more pleased!
We've seen them 2 years in a row now and it's almost as if they get better with each performance! They put out such positive vibes and such great music that you can't help but leave with a smile on your face. Officially an Airhead!
I was lucky enough to meet & get my picture with them and they are very sweet and friendly. that being said they also did a fantastic show and they've still got it, going strong after almost 50 years!! still love them!!
I had a wonderful time at the show it was fantastic there one of my favorite bands and meeting them yo was a pleasure and a wonderful experience there such nice guys
Air Supply was awesome. Great interaction with fans. Love that they are still performing and obviously enjoying it after almost 50 years. Great addition to our "see them before they are dead or retire"concert tour. Event venue was comfortable, getting a beer was easy, restrooms were easily accessible and clean. Will be watching for shows at this venue in the future.
We absolutely loved the Air Supply Concert! What awesome memories from the past! We’ve seen them five times and have been just as enjoyable as their first! The last two concerts we attended were at River City Casino. I really like the small venues. There wasn’t a bad seat in the house! We the fans went crazy from the moment they stepped out on stage until the final song. Everyone sang right along with them. It was GREAT!!!
In their 49th year and they still have it!! They sounded absolutely incredible and know how to entertain a crowd. This is the 4th time I’ve seen them and can’t wait till next time. They played approximately two hours with the encore.
This show was absolutely amazing!! Their vocals were SPOT ON!! I saw Air Supply with my high school sweetheart 40 years ago. Now after life has happened, we are back together and got to see them together again!! It was a very special night! The venue is so intimate and amazing. Everything about it was spectacular!!
Let me start that with for their age, Air Supply is amazing and they have not lost a lot in time. Completely worth seeing them. This review is degraded by 2 stars because of the venue and the crowd. The acoustics in the venue were terrible, it really is not a space for live music despite what the venue says. So it was hard to hear them when they spoke and if more than one of them talked at a time. Second and this seems true the more I go to concerts where the fans are generally 45 +. They all drink too much and they talk the whole time. The people behind us got up for drinks 4 times in a 90 minute show and they talked non-stop. This was similar if you looked around the room. I'm not there to listen to the fans or get up every 10 minutes so you can get blitzed on your night out.
Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock sounded great. Interaction with the audience was a lot of fun. This was my first time seeing Air Supply live, I would highly recommend seeing them live.
It was more like a sing a long but was so much fun. Small venue but easy to get in and out and get drinks etc. Easy fun night for some nostalgia with Air Supply.
This performance far exceeded our expectations. Each member of the group gave their all to provide the audience with an exceptional and memorable concert experience,m and we would definitely see them again if they returned to our area.
Once again, Air Supply was incredible. They sounded amazing. It was a much needed enjoyable night out. Though tickets prices are getting out of control with many bands, I really appreciate their prices have remained on the somewhat reasonable side, thank you.
It was a good show.... we all enjoyed it... Air supply is the best❤️❤️❤️
Air Supply is still amazing. Strong voices. Great musicians. So worth the cost of admission.
We loved the concert. We have seen Air Supply several times. They were so good. We brought friends with us and they loved it, too. We will go again.
