Garth Brooks in Concert
Garth Brooks rewrote all the rules of country music, and that goes for concerts as well as recordings. It was Brooks who brought the scale, energy, excitement, and pageantry of a major rock concert to the world of country, and tons of Nashville superstars have been following his example ever since.
It's not insignificant that he was one of the first country stars to popularize the wireless microphone onstage, because the ability to race around the stage like a country Bruce Springsteen and get the crowd fired up is an important part of Brooks' concert agenda.
Since his 2014 comeback with Man Against Machine, his tours have been bigger than ever. His World Tour that began in 2014 lasted all the way through 2017 and became one of the biggest-grossing concert tours ever. When his 2019 Stadium Tour was announced, with plans to bring his bigger-than-life live show to some 30 stadiums, it became obvious that Brooks still had no intentions whatsoever of slowing down.
Garth Brooks on Tour
In country music, you can pretty much divide history into two eras: BG and AG — Before and After Garth. When he exploded onto the scene with his self-titled 1989 debut album (eventually awarded coveted Diamond status), Garth Brooks completely changed the game. In the years to come, with chart-topping singles like "Friends in Low Places," "The Thunder Rolls," and "The Dance," he melded the influences of old-school country, pop, and rock 'n' roll to create a new amalgam that forged the template for modern country for decades to come.
All the way through to 1997's Sevens, Brooks was an unstoppable force, taking country music to a new level in album sales, hit songs, and concert tours along the way. When he went into retirement following that album, millions of fans mourned his absence. Apart from a few stray songs and a handful of benefit performances, Brooks was out of the limelight until 2014. He came roaring back to prominence with a new album — Man Against Machine — and his biggest tour ever, bringing his combination of passion, poetry, and pure fun back to the world at large again.
Surprise for my 21 year old Neices. And what a surprise. With Trisha it was a family affair. First class experience.
Garth is always so amazing & high energy & love listening to his stories! Trisha is always a bonus. The large band + one is great idea & was super extra & added to the small venue vibe! The one thing that was disappointing was not being able to take a photo with my Mom & sister’s. Lines were just to long at photo spots & phones were sealed in bags which I totally understand. It kept people in the moment! We were in Vegas celebrating my Mom’s 80th birthday & she isn’t very mobile, so that part made it more difficult! The concert was a great memory for all of us! We danced, we laughed, we cried & bonded thru an amazing music experience!
Garth Brooks is Garth Brooks and his shows are always great. I would warn that they confiscate your phone at the door, and that was not something I was made aware of when I bought tickets. They put it in a pouch and lock it and then you have to carry that pouch around with you. I had opted not to bring a bag because bags are discouraged at places like this, and so I had no place to put this pouch, it being too big for a pocket. Had I known this would be happening, I definitely would have brought a bag to put the pouch in. Kind of annoying. However, I must say, it was nice to finally go to a concert where not everyone was holding phones high above their heads, lol. Concert started late, but not as late has some concerts I've been to. Still never been to a concert that actually started on time.
Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood were amazing and venue was great!! Concert and fans were great. We had a blast during our stay in Vegas.
This show was fantastic from start to finish. Tremendous performance from the get go. High energy and a treat for all. Best concert I’ve been too by far. Thanks Garth!
The show was amazing and the venue is fantastic- up close and personal! Only complaint is the drinks are absolutely horrendously overpriced.
Garth is a fantastic entertainer and personalized the night to us, shared stories while belting out all of his classic hits, and truly appeared to thoroughly enjoy himself! He revved the crowd up and everyone had a great time! It’s the most money I’ve spent on a concert and don’t regret it one bit! Absolutely incredible!! I love the Tricia and Garth duets also! Icing on the cake!
Best concert ever!!! So glad to finally get to see Garth Brooks. Can’t wait to see him again
Garth Brooks was amazing. You’d never know it was a Sunday performance. The energy from the crowd and more importantly from Garth was unbelievable. He’s without a doubt the best performer I’ve seen. His ability to connect to the crowd, be a storyteller, engage the crowd, bring out special guests, and highlight everyone on stage with him…just wow. I’d see him again and again because he makes you feel like he’s talking to you whether you’re front row or up in the balcony seats. He sees you and wants you to know how much he appreciates you. Worth every penny.
Was a great show wished ticket were not so expensive with that the shirt pricing was great.
Garth was very good. A true entertainer. Good story teller. Involved his audience completely. Top 5 concert I've seen, my wife said it was the best she's ever seen. Mixed up his music well and having Trisha come out was fantastic. The size of the venue was great.
Garth is simply the best! and the venue at Caesars was fantastic. After seeing him at the stadium tour in Orlando, this intimate 4000 seat concert was such an amazing experience- just perfect!
Last time I saw Garth was in 1992 in San Diego - on base. My husband is not much of a country music fan, but didn't want me going with a friend, so he came along. The fact that HE had a great time, not knowing much of the music is evidence of the great performance given that night. We were in section 406 and right on the railing, which was great. No one standing in front of us and still a great view. Sound was excellent. Band was top notch. I will say my husband DOES love "Ms. Yearwood"and was thrilled when she came out to perform. I think THAT was the only song he knew all the words to! Loved the audience interaction and requests. A bit disappointed in the photos provided. It's like they stopped taking photos halfway through the concert. I kept expecting more to pop up, but they never did. I will not be waiting 30 years to go again and absolutely loved the intimacy of the venue. Comfortable seats and great sound.
Excellent and Personal and Fun , great experience all the way around good time!
It's Garth! What more needs saying! Awesome show!! Add to that the venue is pretty spectacular, it was a phenomenal experience...
For a fun filled sing along, this is the best. He exudes love and kindness in everything he does. You can't help but leave there with a smile on your face. I saw all three concerts this week and they were all a little different. When you don't have a set list, it makes for an amazing concert. Trisha was gorgeous, as always. I always like to watch Garth's expression when she comes walking out on the stage. It is like he can't believe he is this lucky of a man to be married to this gorgeous of a woman. I keep asking myself what is wrong with the Country Music Hall of Fame. Trisha's voice is amazing. She has done as much if not more than some of the other male members. It's about time the board wakes up and rewards her a spot in the Hall of Fame.
Amazing experience seeing Garth Brooks and his beautiful wife Trisha Yearwood! I have been a fan for 30 years and this was my first experience…I will be going again!
We traveled from Australia to come and watch Garth for the first time live and he didn’t disappoint. It was the best experience ever!
What a great night with Garth and a surprise visit from Trisha. Garth covered all my favorites and did not disappoint. 2.5 hours straight of great music. What a great 40th anniversary trip it was!
Best concert I've ever se en!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
