Excellent Mr. Jim Dandy was spot on. Entire band amazing Sammy female singer AWSOME. BASS player great solo DRUMMER solid backbeat LEAD GUITAR fantastic. So glad to see a living LEDGEN....
This guy is incredible! Forty years in the business, his voice is better than ever, & still putting on an amazing show! When Jim Dandy arrived he met & greeted fans in a kind southern gentleman's way (hell, he even let me snap a picture of him with my gal). He then took the stage & delivered a two hour & fifteen minute set with news songs (great ones), old favorites, told jokes, cool stories, & even a Bob Seger tune as an oncore! There were only about fifty people at the venue but Dandy delivered a show like he was performing for 50,000! Then he took pictures & signed endless autographs afterwards. Don't miss the chance to see him if you're a BOA fan (or even if you're not).
Sometimes old rock and roll bands should just stay retired. Such is the case with Black Oak Arkansas. I don't know what was worse.....the lead singer falling down on stage, the faulty equipment constantly squealing and making noise or the other band members acting as if they would like to be anywhere but there. And I agree with them....I should have been anywhere but there. So now when I hear an old BOA song, this is the picture I will have in my mind. Really sad....and...pathetic.
This concert had extra meaning for me. Since the early 70's I was a huge Black Oak Arkansas fan. In 1980 I was living in Southern Cal. BOA was coming to a venue near by and about 6 of us purchased tickets, I was ecstatic. I went and waited about 2 hrs. in line and then the concert was cancelled due to an illness I believe. Later that yr. my mother died and I moved back home which was Indiana. I was not able to ever see them after that until I heard about this concert in Ft. Wayne. So, although a small concert , I was going to finally see Jim Dandy 34 yrs. later. Jim Dandy was awesome and the band was absolutely terrific. I really enjoyed the casual atmosphere of the C2G Music Hall. Thank you to all who made this possible.
It was good to see Jim and Ricky again after so many years, yea there older but still can belt out the old and new tunes.Jim truely loves his fans no matter if hes playing for 5,000 or 50 people. It was nice to have got to meet them after the show, they were pretty wore out from traveling, they signed a pic and a cd for me,..great bunch of guys..Go Jim Dandy Goooooooo !
Jim Dandy and his band put on a great show. They played longer than most bands and gave their fans a memorable experience! His voice is amazing.
awesome good show classic band jim dandy the best oh yeah
BOA may be OLD but they still have it. The younger mambers make them sound better than 40 years ago.
