The performance was a very stripped down version of Prairie Home Companion. At 81, Garrison can still hold his own telling stories, but it's hard to fill 2 hours w/o the variety that characterized PHC. No "Guy Noir", sound effects, sponsor messages, pr various folk groups. The accompanying pianist is a real talent, following Garrison around poetic rambles.
What a wonderful show! Garrison Keillor is such an amazing raconteur. His ability to weave stories with poetry and music is awe inspiring. How an 81 year old man can put on a 2 plus hour performance and then go to front of the theatre and speak with audience members afterwards is mind boggling. Truly phenomenal!

This show and this man are part of my genetic makeup. This show took me back to my roots. Looking forward to dreamy Saturday mornings listening to Prairie Home Companion and cleaning house. Nothing better. Thank you Mr. Keillor, for being fabulous. Always.
Enjoyed everything but his use of GD. It only subtracted from his show.

I have long enjoyed Garrison Keillor. I was hoping he would have more of his troup, but he was amazing.
For years I listened to the Prairie Home Companion on public radio. I was always provided with stellar entertainment. For the past two years I was at Town Hall NYC live. I'll tell you that it was an amazing experience 😀. I look forward to the next show at Town Hall in 2024
His one man show began with vulgar sexual references, interlaced with songs the audience joined in. Then followed one depressing anatomy explicit tale after another, until my husband and I left the theater. We did not come to hear a series of lengthy dirty jokes. Missed the fun and even inspiring stories he is known for . Sadly dissapointed.
