Outstanding performance thoroughly enjoyed the ballet!
Ballet Memphis did an AMAZING job!! Their performance of Cinderella blew me away! The costumes were beautiful, the show was entertaining and kept me on the edge of my seat, wanting more!! Those wicked step sisters were hilarious and the Prince was dreamy! This is definitely a show for all ages!
It was not so spectacular. I expected live music and only got a recording and the music was so low I could hear the dancers shoes squeak on the floor. It was an afternoon showing so I'm not sure if that made a difference. The dancers were good, especially Crystal Brothers, and Rafael Ferreras and Alberto Gaspar as the Step Sisters was hilarious. Also, people showed up late and they were still letting people in, it was very distracting. I had no problems with the dancers but maybe if you go pick a different Theater because that wasn't worth what I paid for tickets.
Cinderella was a great event. My 8 year old daughter loved it. We will be back to the Orpheum in the future.
This was a wonderful ballet. The dancers were wonderful.
The show was awesome. The step sisters were HILARIOUS!!!
The was my first time watching the Memphis Ballet and it was wonderful. The professional dancers were awesome and I would love to watch another ballet performed by them.
Wonderful male dancers who outshone the females. Great props and innovative use of the ugly sisters to provide the humor side rather than the dark side of the story. I loved the production. Only downside? - the costuming was a little uninspiring. I would certainly go to another production and I don't like ballet that much.
Awesome! I went with my grown daughters to this event. Watching it with them made me feel like I was living the story with Cinderella as a young girl again. It was just beautiful! I have always said that the Nutcracker was my favorite, but this took it's spot this year. Thank you for a wonderful performance!!!!
I was very pleased to receive tickets to the ballet as a Mother's Day present. What a wonderful experience for a Mother and/or Grandmother to take that special little girl in her life to see a show of this caliber! I am now looking forward to several shows next season including Dracula and Alice in Wonderland with my grown up daughter!
Milwaukee Ballet's Cinderella was a masterpiece! Humor, romance, surprises, and the best "bad-dancing" by the step-brothers, er, stepsisters, ever seen! It had it all. We were laughing, sighing, and just mesmerized by the best ballet seen in over a decade!
My granddaughter (7) and I really enjoyed the superb dancing, music, and great descripition in the playbill of Cinderella. The depiction of the stepmother and stepsisters was the highlight of the production.Being a weekend matinee, the audience was filled with young, aspiring ballerinas who were so mezmerized by the performance that it was silent and the show was not short!
This is the first ballet that I have ever attended and I was surprised to find that it was very entertaining. It unexpectedly kept my attention throughout the production. I would recommend to people of all ages.
This was my first time ever going to the ballet and I really enjoyed it. I thought seeing a ballet based on a story line that I was familiar with would help me keep up with what was going on and I think that was a good idea, although I still needed to read the program to clear up some details. But knowing nothing about ballet I can say the dancing was beautiful and the show was very entertaining. It was also my husband's first time at the ballet and he really enjoyed it also. The stepsisters were hilarious!
This was my first ballet, so for a technical review look elsewhere. I did enjoy the show though, the set's were wonderful. I did enjoy the solo or couple performances more than the group performances though.
Worried that granddaughters less then 5 years old would get bored with no talking or singing but I was wrong! Looked over at them and they were totally engaged the entire performance. Beautifully performed and staged. Comedic elements with stepsisters played by men was wonderful for all ages.
While I may have seen more exact, traditional ballet I don't think I've ever laughed as much or just purely entertained by a ballet. While there were some lovely traditional parts such as the seasons troupe dance and some of the lead solos I enjoyed the antics and acting of the two make stepsisters the most. It was a birthday gift to my daughter who turned 31 today and it was perfect for her and the younger people in the audience. A completely entertaining evening! Can't wait until next season!
The entire show was beautiful and delightful. I would strongly recommend it.
I went to the last showing of Cinderella. The parking was easy to find, restaurants were easy to locate, and the production was wonderful. Excellent choreography, dancers, and the orchestra was fantastic. I would recommend the marcus center to anyone looking for a bit of culture and fun.
Very good! Family really enjoyed! Would definitely recommend for family show
