Amazing dance, music, scenery and atmosphere. I was not expecting hilarity, but the ugly stepsisters were so funny! This dance company never disappoints
I expected this to be a more Disney version of Cinderella, but there wasn't the Disney soundtrack and large parts of the Disney script were left out or minimized. I was disappointed not to have Cinderella's mice friends dancing! The dance overall was impressive though!
I was so shocked when the stepSISTERS came out being portrayed by men! Who wants to explain why men are dressed like women to their small grandchildren that are not old enough to understand the crazy world we live in? If I would have known this in advance, I certainly would not have purchased tickets. I will read every detail before attending any other event. So ridiculous to push this agenda at a children’s Cinderella event!!
The dancers were amazing. The Stepmother, StepSisters,Godmother, Cinderella and the Prince. I truly enjoyed the ballet!! I plan to take friends if it returns to Memphis, Tennessee again.
The production was beautiful and the evil 'step sisters' are not to be missed. They stole the show.
The best performances and crowd favorites were the 2 men playing the wicked stepsisters. Having them wear street shoes was brilliant, the clodhopping sound they made added greatly to the show.
I have enjoyed going to the Ballet Memphis for many years. They always do a great job. I know these exceptional dancers have so many responsibilities with teaching and being community advocates. I love to watch how excited the children were at the Cinderella performance. I look forward to next year’s season.
Somehow I didn't realize I got tickets on the wrong night and had to buy again for the next day before I realized. Guess I didn't have my glasses on and hard to do by phone...sigh. However, did go to the show and it was BEAUTIFUL!!!!!! Loved the lead ballerina who was so very graceful and talented!!!! It was a special treat that she was of color; unexpected and REALLY appreciated seeing her representation for young girls aspiring to be artists!!!
Cinderella was amazing! Eileen Fraser was the best Cinderella I’ve ever seen. This is my ballet production I’ve experienced in person and it did not disappoint!
Especially Virginia and Brandon Ramey were stunning, the stepsisters brought beautiful artistic humor to the stage.
Excellent show. Unfortunately too many parents took little kids and babies which made it harder to enjoy.
This show had absolutely beautiful costumes, sets, and choreography. But…It started 10 minutes late, I understand probably because audience wasn’t sitting completely. But after only 25 mins of show time they stopped for a 30 min intermission!!! Second half was about 45 mins. Definitely not enough show time and way too long of a break. Not worth the high ticket cost sorry.
This was my first live ballet at least in a very long time from what I can remember. The performance was so beautiful, especially the costumes! I love how they incorporated ballet into the story of Cinderella too. I would definitely see this show again if it ever returned to Fresno, California in the future!!!
The costumes were dazzling and my daughter loved the dancing. It was very well done. A wonderful night at the ballet.
This was my very first ballet show and I enjoyed it. I loved the flow of the ballerinas/danseurs, everyone moved very well together. It was perfect. The only negative remark that I have would be the audience. I think that the employees could have done a better job at getting the audience to turn off cell phone lights, actually close the doors during showtime. I thought that it was very dosrespectful to the cast that worked and practiced really hard to get production going. Either way, amazing job and I look forward to attending another event.
I loved everything about the ballet. the story was eloquently told through the movements of the dancers with the help of the music accompaniment
It was comical, beautiful and performers were excellent. The scenery was awesome !
Very talented performers; most enjoyable evening. My only suggestion would be to give the younger groups more time on stage. They were adorable but we hardly got to see them.
Lafayette Ballet Theatre's performance of Cinderella was enchanting and magical. The dancers performed with beauty and grace and were thoroughly entertaining. The stepsisters were hilarious and excellent actors as well as dancers. I look forward to the next performance Lafayette Ballet graces our community with.
The performance was incredible ! Very professional, entertaining and top notch !
