    Striking and unsettling.

by AudioAlive on 5/8/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

Very well presented and profoundly affecting. I learned a great deal that I didn't know that I didn't know. Audio tour was especially effective, although auto-start often overlapped with manual starts, making it tough to get them started in the appropriate spot. Some ancillary seating out of the traffic flow would be nice and more theatre style seating in the video viewing areas. Traffic flow was a bit hard to follow in a spot or two and audio cue marks were sometimes hard to find. Overall, an amazing experience - particularly for a "temporary"show. Thank you for keeping the story alive!

An exhibition that should not be missed

by DaveD on 5/7/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

Fantastic! Insightful! Professionally presented and horrifying… This is an exhibition that everyone needs to experience in order to understand the root causes of the rise of Naziism and the demonic consequences of racism, apathy, and hatred. If history is lost or watered down, for whatever reason, then history is doomed to repeat itself. Exhibitions such as “Auschwitz . Not long ago. Not far away.” Not only teach and remind us of the past, but they warn us that the past can and will happen again if we don’t remain vigilant.

    Excellent Exhibit!

by Sha on 5/7/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

Of course it doesn't seem appropriate to say 'It was Great!' since it's a horrific time in history and shouldn't have ever happened. That being said - it was an informative, respectful presentation of these horrific events and I'm glad I was able to learn more details. One sign of a well-done exhibit is what you take away from it. I've reflected on many aspects, but have one certain quote from a survivor in my head that really hits hard. I am grateful to all who organized this. I was pleased to see so many people attending and concentrating intensely at the information presented. Thank you.

    Educational

by Dave on 5/6/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

Overall, the exhibit was very nice, very well done. I thought I would be "moved"more than I was; it did not impact me in an emotional way. I supposed it was to be more educational. I found the listening device frustrating both mine and my wife's were a little dirty feeling AND at a few parts it was difficult to get them to work and we skipped several parts out of that frustration.

    Learning from the past

by Manny on 5/6/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

Its sad to actually see real life artifacts of how they suffered and how it all became.

    Emotional

by Lisa on 5/5/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

I was surprised how emotional I was to this exhibit. I have read about and watched documentaries about Auschwitz but actually seeing those tiny shoes and socks and belongings made it so unbelievable horrific that I will never ever let hate enter my mind or soul.

    Powerful Reminder of Evil

by Lëna on 5/5/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

This is a powerful reminder of the evil that man can perpetrate on others. The exhibits bring life to a history that must not be allowed to happen again. The exhibit of a child's single shoe with a sock neatly tucked into it brought a shiver to spine. Women and children quietly sitting or standing about waiting to go to the gas chamber gave pause . I am thinking of revisiting this once- in-a lifetime exhibit as there was so much to take in. Highly recommended to all!

An exceptionally memorable and moving experience.

by Diana on 5/4/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

I shall always remember my visit to the Auschwitz Exhibition in Boston. The exhibit is very well displayed, so as to portray the evolution of the Jewish people and their deadly and horrific persecution by Adolph Hitler and the Nazis. The Exhibition's use of phones, videos, audio clips, maps, photographs, letters, etc., is excellent in telling the stories of the Holocaust victims. Although historians have provided explanations of Hitler's rise to power, it seems beyond explanation that there ever existed on this earth such "Man's inhumanity to man."

    Timely and important

by Jenn on 5/4/24The Castle at Park Plaza - Boston

My husband and I were very moved to see artifacts that could've belonged to his family who were murdered in Auschwitz. I was also glad to see students in attendance.
