My first time in the Amaturo. I personally like this theater better. It’s so intimate and interactive. I liked how the director came onstage at the beginning and explained the cast was local and the music was actually live and the orchestra was behind the stage. I had only known the movie and was transported into the scenes with this production. I was blown away by the cast of ‘Into the Woods’. Seriously. Just awesome. One note: I would have loved for the orchestra to have joined the cast onstage at the end. I think you did a true disservice to them by not having them take a bow. Have them in first if your like and then they can blend to the back for the entire cast bows. Give them the credit due. Overall brilliant and I will be a faithful follower here on out for the Amaturo theater. Thank you. 🙏
I thoroughly enjoyed Into the Woods! The players were amazing, the orchestra was perfect, the sets were beautiful! First class performance in every way.
The voices are the number one reason for five stars but the music, costumes and sets give it the extra boost. We had a GREAT time! Looking forward to Sister Act !
I never saw this in NYC, nor did I see the movie, so I didn't know what to expect. I was blown away be the performance and the story. The Slow Burn Theatre performers were top-notch and there is really nothing they could improve upon. There was a little glitch with Little Red's microphone but it was quickly fixed when she appeared again. If they perform this again, you must see it.
We recently moved to the area, and having lived in NYC, we have seen a lot of theater, including the three Broadway productions of this show. We were very pleased with the Slow Burn production, nearly without a quibble. Red Riding hood was the best I've seen, and the augmented orchestra was actually better than we heard on a recent tour of "My Fair Lady". Nice set, costumes, and performances. We'll be back.
Exceptional talent. Loves the show. Maybe just a tad long but still immensely entertaining
The first part of the play was entertaining and fun. The second half was torture to even sit through.
It was a great show, so many talented people and very entertaining . It is a show for the whole family
I’m not the biggest fan of the storyline (Into the Woods), but the performances, the stage set and costume/makeup were first class. The cast was filled with award winning actors from the area. Privileged to see this Slow Burn production with many more shows this season. The Witch, played by Jeni Hacker, was extraordinary making the character light up. At intermission and at its conclusion, I heard many audience members say: “that actress who played the witch was amazing” and their favorite. The rest of the cast were terrific too. Shout out to the Baker’s Wife and Little Red Riding Hood.
