Lacked a story
State Theatre - Portland
The movie had great skiing clips and beautiful scenes, but after a while it got a little boring as there was not story line being told. Felt more like an hour and a half YouTube edit than a feature film

Generally disappointing
The Capitol Theatre - Port Chester
Too loud, poor sound quality, too clubby. Not a great film experience for nature and mountain lovers who want to be transported into the backcountry, which is what I was hoping for. Too much club music during every shot, the entire film was super produced, and there was little to no raw edits that showed the amazingness of skinning up or the sounds of the wild. Super impressive skiing but the whole film was very anthropocentric (too much focus on the bros’ conquest of a line) and IMO completely missed how awe inspiring the incredible and humbling terrain they were experiencing.

VIP Bummer
Neptune Theatre - Seattle
Movie was amazing. Love TGR. But for a premier, I was bummed. VIP ticket only provided a mug and a sticker. Only 1 athlete appeared to promote the movie. Atmosphere pre-movie was fun and electric. But with no intermission and no post-show party, the investment for a VIP ticket wasn’t worth it.

Paradise Rock Club presented by Citizens - Boston
Not a great spot to see a movie. Obstructed views everywhere
