TAP DOGS premiered at the Sydney Theatre Festival and success quickly followed with seasons in London, New York, Tokyo, Paris, Berlin, Shanghai and around the world. Created by Oliver Award-winning choreographer Dein Perry, and originally directed by Nigel Triffitt, with music by Andrew Wilkie and lighting by Gavin Norris.
TAP DOGS is set to electrify the stage as they jump through scaffold, tap upside down, grind steel and tap on water in Chicago.
Excellent show for all ages! Great talent, high energy, powerful beats, cool special effects and set design, funny -- this show had it all! Like "Stomp" meets "Blue Man Group"! These guys were amazing! They had the crowd whooping and cheering throughout the whole show! We loved it. Will probably go back again, and bring friends and family. Highly recommend!
Tap Dogs was awesome. Still thinking about how talented these artists are! Great characters and humor added to the show. Appropriate for all ages.

If you like tap you’ll love this, if you love tap you’ll be ecstatic! Sat 5 th row center so I could see facial expressions . There were a few instances where the stage ( floor) lights blocked my view of their feet and a few times they were down stage that I couldn’t get a read on their feet, but over all excellent! If I did it again ( and I would) I might try 2 more rows back . The humor and wit were unexpected and totally enjoyable.... so go!

I bought tix for my husband and me for a weekend in Chicago. The show was amazing - high energy and very creative. The 6 guys and 2 lady musicians are all incredibly talented. Good to see such masculinity in a "Broadway" type show, too. They are masters at tap and athleticism. Highly recommend it. Also loved that there was no intermission - which is essentially dead time. Would love to see them again next time around.
Tap Dogs was full of energy, highly entertaining and so much fun! My daughter studies tap and loved seeing a lot of the historical tap references sprinkled throughout the very contemporary show. Great technique, interactive and engaging...I highly recommend this show for anyone who enjoys rhythm, tap dancing and a great night out!
The show began excitedly and continued building the intensity. It was very entertaining and impressive. It was varied with music, style, and mediums. By the time it ended, I was disappointed it was over and thought it was only intermission. I would have preferred an intermission so the show would have been a little longer.
It was fabulous. Highly recommend seeing it when it returns to Chicago.
Tap Dogs was a none stop, high energy entertainment experience. I loved it. If you can pick three shows to see, Tap Dogs is right there with Stomp and Blue Man Group.
My girls and I are al dancers and love tap! This show beyond exceeded our expectations. I describe it as the Blue Man Group of tap. There were multiple vignettes packed with crazy good choreography and unbelievable talent but also with a sense of humor. The dancers do not take themselves too seriously and really had fun, so much so, that the audience joined in the fun! would see again!

I took my (adult) daughter with me and both of us had a truly wonderful time. Neither of us had seen tap dancing like this before. It was creative, engaging, and fascinating. My only complaint is that it was a bit short in my view (an hour and twenty minutes). I could have watched them for much longer.
High energy show. Entertaining. A bit repetitive. lacks diversity and or color. 70 minutes was just enough. Highly reminiscent of the Blue Man Group shows. Passive audience required. Could be enhanced by drawing upon the energy of the audience. When this show is worthy of Las Vegas, their wardrobes need to be shortened and tightened. When I was a Youngster my parents constantly prompted me to pick up my feet as I was wearing out my shoes too quickly. Luckily tap dogs have several sets of shoes each.
If you like a new twist on Tap Dancing........this is a must see performance!
This was an excellent show, hard hitting, tons of entertainment. If you like tap then this show is for you! I would most definitely see this show time and again.
