Black Pumas needs to disengage from the “Hey Houston” audience and play! Such a talented band already too commercialized. House of Blues Houston is a sophisticated audience. We’re paying good money to hear talent not get drunk and yell at the band.
Black Pumas were everything I knew they'd be. Amazing, stellar, fun, & uplifting!! But Danielle Ponder was the star of this entire show! As soon as I heard that the BP's were coming to Houston, I looked to see who was performing with them. I hadn't heard of her, so I looked her up. INSTANT FAN!! Beautiful, heartfelt, soulful lyrics, sung by an absolute knockout star!! If I'm being completely honest- I went to the show for HER. Wish I'd been able to meet her during the intermission.
One of the best concerts I have been to in my life. And. I’ve been to hundreds and hundreds.

This band has so much talent with the Grammy nods to prove it. Soul, rock, alternative… so much to love and move to! Do NOT miss these guys.
This was the first time I have seen Black Pumas live. The vibe and music were superb. I had not heard much from their new album, but the new songs were very good, especially the encore - Rock and Roll.
Venue was top notch and band was off the charts. Very enjoyable experience.
This was my first time seeing Black Pumas headline their own show. We saw them fall of 2021 at a festival and it was fun, but with such a big crowd and line up they had limited set time. Their headliner tour was beyond what I expected! The Ryman Auditorium was the perfect size of a venue to see them and feel like it was an exclusive event. Eric gets into the crowd and the rest of the band is equally as talented. Not to mention he was just out in the venue after the show taking pics with fans. Can’t wait to see them again!!
I go to many shows at the Ryman. Since 2008, maybe 8-10 a year. This was maybe the best show from beginning to end. Opener to Encore. I can not say enough, how amazing and moving this show was.
Amazing! Most of the Black Pumas videos are pretty chill! When performing live their energy and passion is on display! Abraham Alexander, opening act, won't be an opening act much longer...he is headliner material! Lastly, the Ryman, what a venue 👏!! Thank you for a wonderful night of entertainment!!
The best! Knocked it outta the park! The Black Pumas is one of my favorites and the performance was outstanding! Eric even came out in audience and sang! Totally enjoyed Abraham Alexander too. Two great acts…even one of Abraham’s back ups was “wow, just wow!” Talent all around! Loved this show!
The Band was on point, ridiculous vocals; the show was extremely entertaining and “the crowd was loud” and fully charged

I have seen a lot of concerts in my sixty five year…Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa, Stevie Ray Vaughn too many others to count. I have to say, Black Pumas rate in my top. 5 live shows of all time. If you get the chance DO NOT MISS this amazing band. Eric Burton is one of the best showmen I’ve ever seen!
Fantastic show at Ryman. Wow. Even opening act Abraham Alexander, was spot on. Have lived here 32 yrs and seen numerous shows at the Ryman. One of my top 5 ever. They owned the house. Great musicians and one tight band. What an engaging evening. You guys got the mojo. Come back and see us. All showed great respect and honored the house they were playing in, The Ryman, also.
I took my son to see the Black Pumas both Friday and Saturday night at the Ryman. Both banks were terrific and the Black Pumas and Singer and musician Eric Burton are an unbelievable show. The Ryan was Rockin and everyone standing up. So much love. On Friday night were were upstairs when Eric came out to meet the folks and we had a chance to talk with him and he was so gracious and kind. This is a must see live. The whole band is amazing and folks they are on their way!
What a show the Black Pumas had at the Ryman. You can tell the BP love to give their fans the best show they can and Eric B can't help but let his love light SHINE! I loved watching Lauren and Angela so much! Andrian is such an accomplished guitarist and JaRon is awesome on keyboards. It was such a great experience and I will go see them every chance I can!
Black Pumas—best songs, singer, music, energy, couldn’t stop moving, —took us to church—the mother church— heaven!
