    Late to start!

    by C. C. on 12/22/21BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

The 2:30 Sunday matinee was 10 minutes late starting. I wish there had been more than one Nutcracker/Backdrop Photo-Ops. The line was never-ending. Also, the venue needs to improve on their concession stand. There was absolutely no way to get snacks during intermission then get back to your seat for Act 2. Overall, my 7 year old granddaughter and I enjoyed it.

    Overall a disappointment.

by Buyer on 12/22/21BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

I expected much better. Ballet started slow and sloppy. Intermission was a disaster. Couldn't eat inside concert hall but nowhere to sit elsewhere. Food choice was cheap carnivaltype foods. At the Alabama Theater we've always had a much nicer experience. The second half was better, but still disappointing overall.

    Needed narration

by Nixmandy on 12/22/21BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

If you didn’t already know how the story goes (like we didn’t) you will be very lost. There is no narration to the story.

    Really Good

by Cassandra on 12/21/21BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

My daughter and I attend this version of The Nutcracker every year. We really enjoyed that show and was glad to be able to attend with all the COVID protocols. However, it was a little less eventful than before. Some of the dancers appeared to be just going through the motions. Overall, we still enjoyed the show.

    Great Tradition

by Bibbitt on 12/21/21BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

It was my great niece's first nutcracker! The night before, they watched it on tv and her parents gave her the Ken nutcracker and Barbie ballerina. It was my combo birthday & Christmas gift to my niece and great-niece. Next year we will include her little sister and Daddy.

    Nutcracker Ballet Review

by Queenie on 12/21/21BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

The venue was very satisfactory, and the ballet was wonderful. I was very disappointed there was no live orchestra. I enjoy taking the grandchildren every year, but, will return to Nashville next year so they can experience the orchestra along with the ballet.

Wonderful TIme was had by all

by Christa on 12/21/21BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

Enjoyed the show. A smooth experience from check in to check out of parking. Would have appreciated more than 2 people checking out at the gift table. Took forever and ran us late. Very hard to see with the 3 very tall people in front of us.

    Awesome but……..

by Kelly on 12/20/21BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

The ballet itself was spectacular however if I would have known I was going to have to wear a mask I wouldn’t have bought the tickets.

    Great show, terrible venue

by Jason on 12/20/21BJCC Concert Hall - Birmingham

First, the show was fantastic. Will watch it again but not at the BJCC. After spending $35 on two adult beverages and being told it was ok to take the beverages into the show by event staff, I was then harassed by Birmingham PD to take the drinks into the hallway outside of the show. There I saw small children with large buckets of popcorn and multiple adults with drinks standing around finishing off their over priced food and drinks NOT watching the show. If you don’t want food or drinks in the auditorium, don’t sell it for ridiculous amounts of money RIGHT OUTSIDE the auditorium. The Von Braun Center in Huntsville will sell you food and beverages AND let you enjoy them while watching the show. This will be my last event at the BJCC.

Wonderful show Nice to be able to continue a holiday traditi

by R. B. on 12/15/21Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

Very upset mask policy not enforced Many in theatre not wearing masks and unfortunately even though policy stayed masks were to be worn it was not enforced at all! This will keep me from returning to future shows If you take the time to send the health policy 4 times prior to the show my expectation is it will be enforced!

Ballet great, venue a little disappointing

by Chincia on 12/14/21Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

The ballet was wonderful as usual, however, getting into the venue and to our seats was quite challenging. I’ve never had this happen before at Broward Center and I’m hoping this was a first and last occurrence. It was so unfortunate as I was bringing new guests with me.

    Great holiday tradition!

by Jen on 12/14/21Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft Lauderdale

We’ve seen The Nutcracker by the MCB several times, and it never disappoints. The orchestra plays the score perfectly, and the dancers are extremely talented. This year my younger daughter got to experience it for the first time, and she loved it too. We’ll be back next year!

    Nutcracker

by A. on 12/24/19Wright Center Samford University - Birmingham

The show was good but not my favorite. In previous years the show ended returning the nutcracker and girl to her home where she awoke from the dream. It seemed rushed this year and ended abruptly. Will Check out a different presentation of the nutcracker next year.
