Leanne Morgan on Tour
A seasoned comedian with a uniquely Southern charm, Leanne Morgan tells stories that are as relatable as they are hilarious. It's no wonder audiences across America have connected so strongly to her funny, warmhearted and sometimes outrageous tales about juggling the demands of career and family, getting older, joining Weight Watchers for the seventh time and generally doing her best to raise her kids without going crazy.
Raised in rural Appalachia, Morgan was a stay-at-home wife and mother of three who caught the comedy bug while trying to entertain customers for her short-lived jewelry business. After honing her skills as an MC for events near her home in Tennessee, Morgan became one of the brightest new talents on the comedy scene thanks to appearances at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival, a finalist spot for the Nick at Nite TV competition show The Search for the Funniest Mom in America and her performances with Southern Fried Chicks, the hugely successful all-female comedy tour.
Morgan has shared her homespun, family-friendly brand of comedy on Dr. Phil and The View. When not performing stand-up in venues all over the country both as a solo act and with Trish Suhr and Karen Mills on the Country Cool Comedy show, she's collaborating with Home Improvement writer-producer Matt Williams on a forthcoming sitcom of her own.
Who is Leanne Morgan?
Leanne Morgan's frank, funny and relatable comedy style is deeply rooted in her experiences growing up in rural Appalachia and being a wife and mother in her own bustling family in Tennessee and Texas.
After attending the University of Tennessee and becoming a mom, Morgan discovered a love of performing when she started a part-time jewelry business and realized she liked entertaining the customers best of all. With her lively, engaging wit, she soon found enthusiastic audiences beyond her community. Appearances at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival and The View led to a breakout spot as a finalist on Nick at Nite's The Search for the Funniest Mom in America.
Morgan's three years with the top-grossing comedy tour Southern Fried Chicks and her many live and TV appearances with celebrity chef Paula Deen further increased her following nationwide. Appearing in venues across America, she continues to delight audiences with her tales of career, marriage and motherhood both as a stand-up solo performer and alongside Trish Suhr and Karen Mills on the Country Cool Comedy show.
Both performers were hilarious! We had so much fun.
Hi, I enjoy listening to Leanne Morgan on YouTube, so was interested to see her live, so I purchased tickets. I thought her "humor"in person would be the same as online. However, I was disappointed as she went from one story to another about things I didn't care to know about, such has her friend's panties in a guy's luggage, being invited to a strip club, etc. I kept thinking she would get past the high school humor to her funny material. Those things weren't funny to neither me nor my husband, so I felt like I'd wasted the ticket money. I hope her material at future performances will be in better taste and with more integrity.
Leanne Morgan never gets old. We are going to be buying tickets every time she comes back to our area. We laughed and laughed and laughed and laughed. Suck my neck Chuck!!!
Exceeded my expectations and they were high. I was crying laughing at times. Not thrilled with the Township Auditorium though. They wouldn’t let the 4:00 show exit through the main front doors since the 7:00 crowd was lining up outside. Crowd was surging to those doors but had to turn around and try to get to small side doors to exit. Crowd gridlock. Unsafe and it wasn’t a young crowd.
First and foremost Leanne Morgan was great! Wife and I were thoroughly entertained. The only negative was after the show. We went to the 4 pm show and there was another one at 7 pm. The entire auditorium had to exit through 2 small side doors while event staff prevented anyone from accessing the larger, more numerous front doors. The side door we were directed to open out onto a small landing at the top of some steps, so several hundred people were effectively reduced to one single file line. I understand that some people were waiting to get in for the next show but there has to be a better way than this. Figure it out Township Auditorium.
Leanne was amazing but the venue sound system was awful! Thank goodness a gentleman that worked for Leanne found our party of 4 new seats or it would’ve been a disaster. We drove 1 1/2 hours to see the show, which is our 3rd time seeing her. One of the attendants earlier had told me when I first complained that the 4:00 earlier show had complained also and she thought the problem had been resolved. We missed about 20 minutes of the show.
We overpaid for the seats @ $157/ticket. The proximity of the seats were great (except the speakers blocked off part of the screen). We missed the first part of the show with Karen because there was something wrong with the speakers and none of us in that section could understand her. Same thing happened when Leanne came on. A bunch of us got up and stood against the wall and someone finally found us seats in a section that was a lot less money. In speaking with one of the guides, she said they knew the sound was off in Section L but not in Section K. Yet they seated people in both! Leanne deserves 5 stars. I would see her again but not at that location.
Leeann Morgan is already famously funny and she definitely BROUGHT IT to Columbia! We laughed so hard my sides were literally aching on the way home. And what a marvelous venue. If you’re thinking of seeing ANY show at Township Auditorium, you will enjoy the wonderful staff, the great acoustics and the atmosphere of Township Auditorium!
Leanne was awesome! I enjoyed her and Karen very much. The auditorium, not so much. The mass exit was the worst ever. Instead of opening all the front doors to allow the folks to exit after the event, they funneled the entire audience outside of two small side doors. It was seriously the worst logistical exit I've ever seen in a building that size. I realize there were people waiting to get in for the next show but they certainly could've lined those few folks up along the side of the building to enter AFTER everyone else had departed the building.
Loved it… her sense of humor is so enjoyable …. I’d go again anytime.
Both Lee Anne and Karen were great! I have seen LeeAnne's Netflix Special and loved it. I also follow them on Facebook and Instagram, and enjoy their videos very much! They are both so relatable. As a mother of two grown sons, and a grandmother of 9, I have lived every minute of the experiences LeeAnne tells about (and with the same husband for 56 years) I can totally relate to her Chuck stories!
It was a great show! I haven’t laughed that hard in a long time. My husband loved it too, the show is not just for a girls night out. Bring your date!
LeAnne was hilarious!!! My husband and I found ourselves laughing so hard, that we would miss the next funny thing she said!! Need her to come back!!
I really enjoy both ladies I did not know about either one my wife is a fan of LeAnn. I had a laugh out loud time
We loved seeing Leanne! She is so funny! We had a great time!
I really enjoyed it. She was hilarious. I liked the opening act as well.
Very entertaining show. Leanne Morgan is a class act. Much respect for her character and delivery of her monologue without having to hear obnoxious and fowl language with every punch line.
Leanne was funny and it was a great time! The opening act was great!
I laughed the entire time. She's the best...just as funny in person as her videos!
Leanne Morgan really puts on a great show. Not only is she funny as heck, but she has a way of making you fall in love with her. She seems like she could be your friend in no time. Very happy we got this opportunity to see her in person. Loved it!
