    Thunder from down Under

by Jenni258 on 11/25/15Mid-America Center - Council Bluffs

Amazing talent. Great looking guys. They made the effort to go through the entire crowd, not just the front seats. Perfect for my sister's pre-bacherlorette party

    Chippendales is much better.

by Anonymous on 11/24/15VooDoo Lounge at Harrah's Casino North Kansas City - Kansas City

The show only had 5 dancers and an MC. There was lots of down time and the dancing was poor. Some of the outfits were very weird. The show was cheesy. The best dancer was a fill-in. I would recommend Chippendales show over the Thunder from down Under.

    Amazing show, great time!!!

by Mariwink on 11/24/15Excalibur Hotel and Casino - Las Vegas

The show was the absolute highlight of my evening. The crowed was rowdy but well behaved. No obnoxious people which was great because we had lots of fun watching the show and not dealing with drunk hecklers. The cast of dancers were all amazing eye candy and so super friendly. People were allowed to take pictures with them on stage after the show and hang out at the bar with them sfterward for autographs. I talked to several of the guys and they were all so sweet and hot!!!!! I loved that they included the audience in the show, so interactive. Great time, definitely will do it again!!!

    So-so of Thunder Down Under

by JTBarr on 11/23/15Mid-America Center - Council Bluffs

What was disappointing was my tickets had seats assigned to the tickets I got, but it ended up being general admission. So, the assigned seats went out the window. I got the tickets for my mom & a friend to celebrate their birthday & the 4 of us ended up with seats in the back. We couldn't see the show from the back of the room, because 2 rows ahead of us, 4 women were standing & every time we would move to see the stage, one of the women would move & all we would see is the back of their head & being short, we didn't get to see much of the show. The other thing I was disappointed about was the guys only worried about the front of the room & not even bothered to come to the back of the room. They only chose women towards the front of the stage to get pulled up onto the stage. They could have included the women that were sitting in the back of the room. Could have kept it at Whiskey Road House & have a smaller group of women & have more than one show, than just the 2 shows. The guys looked like they were good looking, it was sad that my group was disappointed of the show. Could have went to a male strip club & seen a lot more than what we seen at Thunder Down Under.

MAC nearly ruined my night with Thunder!

by Lurxgirl on 11/23/15Mid-America Center - Council Bluffs

I have been to 6 thunder from down under shows. This was the most unorganized venue I have attended! To start off we stood outside in the cold for the doors to open. Not a problem. We were about 10th in line. The doors open and ticket scanners weren't working. Then after taking our tickets we were rushed to our first holding center up against a black curtain and turn stalls. Now we are about 20 back. Still optimistic we will get goods seats. Then it all went to crap! The curtain was opened; the mob jumped turn styles, ran through roped area to closed doors. We were kept in a hallway for over 15 minutes with no crowd control anywhere! I was now about 100th back. Girls shoving and pushing their way to the front of the doors. By the time I got inside the venue we got side seats towards the back. I will never attend another general admission event at MAC!!

    Hurry up and wait

by ARRS on 11/23/15Mid-America Center - Council Bluffs

I tried to get tickets to the 8 pm show, which sold out immediately, so I was happy to get tickets to the 10:30 pm show. That being said, we then showed up at 9:45 to get in line for the 10:30 show. After about half an hour of waiting, the curtains were drawn, letting us into . . . another hallway. After more waiting, with less of a line, and more of a shoving match, which completely negated our efforts of showing up early, the doors opened, and we all crowded into the hall and found seats. Because this was about 10:30, we expected the show to be starting soon. However, we then spent the next 40 minutes watching a video of interviews of the men of Thunder from Down Under. On mute. At about 11 pm, the video blatantly said "The End," and of course, we again thought that the show was about to start, but no, the video just started over from the beginning. Our 10:30 show didn't even start until 11:10, with no announcements, explanation or indication that 10:30 pm wasn't the intended start time. The show was enjoyable, and was about what I had expected, but the hour and a half that we waited between arriving and the show starting did nothing to build anticipation, only bored and annoyed us. It was hard to really get into the show after such a long and unnecessary interval. Just go to Vegas.

    VERY UNORGANIZED-VERY UNHAPPY

by ARJN on 11/23/15Mid-America Center - Council Bluffs

The show was ok, but I do not feel it was above average for male dancers. As professionals I was definitely expecting them to be in sync. They did have some good moves, and definitely had great bodies, which is why the are at least getting a 2. The organization of letting people in was terrible. I was 18th in line at the first door and by the 3rd door I had falling back in the 100's. It was very ridiculous and will not ever recommend this to anyone or go again.

    Ehh....could've been better.

by Noellerox on 11/23/15Mid-America Center - Council Bluffs

Had this been in a smaller venue, it may have been a better show. The dancers did not come out into the crowd as much as expected. Or, at least into our section. The routines seemed outdated and wish there would've been more relevant dances. I have been to a number of different revues and I've never seen crazier women. It was literally a shoving match at the entrance, which was absolutely ridiculous. To see so many grown women act like that, you would've thought everyone was getting free drinks or free head before the show! I'm not sure if the dancers were limited because of the size and craziness or the crowd or there was just lack of experience, but the show left a lot to be desired. Also, it started over 45 minutes late. In regards to the seating, they should've tiered it out. I was among the first to purchase tickets for this show and since they opened up more tickets and changed the venue after the original sell out, they should've allowed the first sets of tickets to be admitted before the second. We were close to the rear of the auditorium, as we weren't going to trample other "grown" women, to get to the front. The tallest woman in the place sat directly in front of me and there were even shorter women behind me. I had to strain my neck and body the entire time so that I could see and also be courteous of the viewers behind me. Overall, I would've rather not have spent the money and feel that a combination of all of the issues led to a poor experience. Luckily, I had some great company. Just a note, I haven't seen Magic Mike, so I'm not comparing to that.

    Event great, location bad

by Lenli on 11/23/15Mid-America Center - Council Bluffs

Thunder Down Under did a good job involving the entire crowd, however working the room of 1,100 was difficult. This is the type of event that works well with smaller crowds. People feel they are getting more out of the show. This should be kept at smaller arena because it is supposed to be an intimate performance.

    Definitely not Vegas

by Veryletdowncustomer on 11/23/15Mid-America Center - Council Bluffs

I think they made the show too big with only six dancers and such a small area. I love the Vegas show but I wish the traveling show would have done its own thing instead of trying to mimick Vegas. Also, show was suppose to start at 1030 and a little late is one thing but 40 minutes late was a true buzz kill and everyone around me was really crabby and upset about it.

More like a spring rain than thunder

by JELUS on 11/17/15State Theatre, Kalamazoo - Kalamazoo

The event was ok, I expected a bit more showmanship from a Vegas act, as a person taking a friend for their birthday I have to admit it is not usually my type of show, but was hoping for higher quality from a well known act. At times the men were not in sync with the others in the group dances, it was far too loud we got ear plugs the second half.

    Fun fun fun

by JMac40 on 11/17/15State Theatre, Kalamazoo - Kalamazoo

The evening was filled with laughter, and overall fun. Watching the male review was interesting to say the least but the crowds reaction was more entertaining. To see grown women act like complete fools for a half naked man was amusing. I enjoyed the dance routines and candid interaction but was happy to be seating further in the back so I could not be picked. Overall a great evening out with my sister for her birthday and entertained.

I have seen the Thunder from Down Under 3 other times and this was by far the worse show I have seen. The interaction with the crowd was minimal at best. The new MC they had was not as good as the previous one. The entire show was a let down. I was very disappointed. Not sure after this I want to go to another show.

    A must see!

by Raf884 on 11/17/15State Theatre, Kalamazoo - Kalamazoo

I'm a straight married male and former dancer so I can relate to the show. I took my wife for a surprise to see the Thunder. Epic performance and very entertaining! These guys are professional, funny and know how to get the crowd going! Very classy show.
