    Up Close and Personal

by Koy Koy on 5/13/19The Canyon Agoura Hills - Agoura Hills

The show was truly and intimate experience with Art and the other lead singers. Since it was "songs and stories" I expected more stories about each song....there was some of that but more banter between the performers and one off comments that made the show feel more authentic and not at all scripted. Every artist played a cover song, their popular song/s and a few lesser known songs. Definitely a unique concert experience!

    Intimate and awesome!

by Jccaroline on 5/13/19The Canyon Agoura Hills - Agoura Hills

It was so great to see all of these bands stripped down in an intimate setting! It was unfortunate that there weren’t a lot of people there, and I’m sure the bands were not happy to see that, but it was really cool for those of us who were there! Everyone sounded great in the stories in between cool and funny! What a great idea for a concert! It was like sitting in someone’s living room and having them play for you! Wish I could see it again!

    Songs & Stories tour

by Ernie on 5/13/19The Rose - Pasadena

Concert was great, performers were great. The venue was fair except for the staff. They did not seat me in the right seat, they forgot to bring my water and soda twice, they never came back to check on me, and they interrupted the show by discussing the bill with the people sitting next to me. Placing dinner tables in front of a stage is just not what i would expect at a concert. I probably will not go back to this venue. Art and the rest of the performers were great. Hope to see them again at a better venue though.

    Songs and Stories

The show was very intimate and raw, which I appreciated. Whole I didn't care for a couple of the other artists, Art made the show worthwhile.

    Not so (Ever) Clear

by WeaponofMassInstruction on 5/20/16B.B. King Blues Club & Grill - New York

Although, Art proved personable, he failed to impress, offering a lackluster, at times awkward performance. The sound effect in the mic, an echo, made his voice tinny and odd, a poor choice for an effect. He allowed the audience to make requests but often played one or two versus of the songs. I enjoyed that he clearly deviated from a set list, as it makes for an organic performance, but unlike an iprov comic who can handle thinking on his feet and still entertaining, Art stumbled through some banter and came off a bit dull. I wouldn't see the solo act again. I was disappointed and LOVE his work. I will still see Everclear but might avoid the solo stuff.

Art stole my heart all over again.

by SuzieQ26 on 4/19/15Duck Room at Blueberry Hill - St Louis

Art Alexakis still has an amazing voice. He is very passionate about each song he sings and you can tell they all have a personal meaning to him. He is never disappointing.

One of the best shows that I have ever seen

by bclead on 12/4/14Brighton Music Hall - Boston

I (like Art) an 52 and attended this with my 23 year old daughter. She knows some Evercleafr songs but was not really a fan. She came along as a favor to me. We have a GREAT time. Art truly earned himself a devoted new fan! His show was amazing! His story telling ability was really natural and funny (and self deprecating at times!), but always a blast! The songs sounded great! My daughter was amazed that he sounds no different from the albums! His voice has not suffered AT ALL from age! It was one of the most entertaining events that I have attended in quite some time!!

Everclear's frontman put on a great show

by jdsmith624 on 7/4/11Coach House - Capistrano - San Juan Capistrano

Art Alexakis put on a great show Saturday night. He played the crowd very well, gave the stories and mindset behind some of Everclear's biggest hits, and paid all the songs he played justice. I would definitely recommend seeing him solo if you have the opportunity. The acoustic set featured just Art on acoustic guitar alone, no other musicians or singers. It was a very raw and intimate experience. I couldn't have been more satisfied.
