Oh my goodness, the best concert I've ever attended by 4 fold!!! Unbelievably looked, acted and sounded exactly like the original. Benny was hilarious, Bjorn and Ani Frid could've been their twins (and we could really judge since we had 5th row tix), Agnetha's voice and dancing were 100% exactly like the real deal. The song selections were perfect. Highest notch entertainment level. Great banter in between songs. The supporting band, background singers, and the sax players were awesome. The I'm surprised I've never previously heard about this tour. Now, I am going to attend every year until they retire and recommend it to all of my fellow ABBA fans.Location of the seats were great. Close to stage. Can see all the faces of performers. The ONLY drawback were that the seats were crammed in too close together. I only weigh 170, but I was being squooshed in like a sardine and performing a contortionist act for 2 hours made my back hurt the next day, luckily I had the band take my mind off this. I wouldn't mind paying $10-20 more per seat to have reasonable comfortableness
Very good concert. The girls have amazing voices. I could see Victoria (Anni-Frid) doing opera someday with a voice like that. The other girl has a voice that sounded identical to Agnetha of ABBA. The two guys and the remainder of the band was also excellent.
Show was outstanding. The performers made the tribute believable and heartwarming. The venue should encourage the crowd to get up and have fun. The crowd remained way more reserved than they wanted to be, but seemed tentative because Security was trying to keep the aisles clear. The performers should ask the crowd to party in place :)
Music and performers were great, but background music was too loud on some songs, taking away from the vocals which were almost drowned out. Back-up should be just that; let the stars shine!
I am a perfomer. I had a concern before the concert that they would have the same precision as the original. They had it in spades. It was great. I would do this again and again. If you love ABBA - you have to see this show. We listened to ABBA on CD all the way home. I listened to it all the next day. Arrival from Sweden made it real. As far as my brain was concerned, I just heard ABBA.
It was incredible and surreal to see the old ABBA songs performed live! You can't help but to sing along, move to the music in your seat or spring out of your chair and dance. The vocals were right on and in fact the blonde gal sounded even better than the original songs. Fantastic voice. My husband noticed and commented on the older gentleman playing the bass stating he was "nailing it" and was REALLY good on the bass...turns out he's the original bass player from ABBA. The concert was short of 2 hours (could have listened to another 2) of ABBA music and they dug in to some of the old songs you forgot about if you only listen to ABBA Gold. Audience was all ages but more 40 & 50-somethings that grew up and lived the 70's. Relative to all music performances in the world, I highly recommend this (4 stars) and for what it is - ABBA - I give it 5 stars!
My husband and I had an incredible time, the music was just as recorded and easy to sing along with. The group had appropriate stage attire for the era, what they played energized the crowd. The setting was small enough to still feel intimate although the seats were a bit close. We loved it from the moment they were on stage to the end and wished for more! I was still in the afterglow the following two days. Definately want to go again and highly recommend it.
For fans of Abba music, seeing Arrival from Sweden is like a trip back in time. They sound like Abba, look similar to Abba and put on one enthusiastic show.
Nearly as good as the real thing and I saw the real thing in Portland OR about 30 years ago.
Superb show, sounded just like the real thing. Would love to see it again. However, cameras were not allowed. First time we've had this experience at Sno. Casino and it looks like that's going to be the case for future concerts too. :-(
