  • Spectacular

Arrival’s performance was amazing, as was the orchestra’s, about the only negative comment I could make is that I wish it had gone on much longer, as there were many songs that they didn’t have time to play. Perhaps they could play a part 1 and part 2 over two nights??? 🤔

  • The real thing

Like being at an ABBA concert totally. Great talent.

  • Wonderful!

The performance of the Swedish group was wonderful. The music of ABBA endured!! Had a joyous time! Thank you to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts for offering so many varied excellent and desired shows. I’m committed to the Broward Center.

  • Show excellent apertivo vip needs improvement

by Lulu on 9/17/24Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

Show was amazing and orchestra was wow! We purchased 4 apertivo tickets to go before the show and intermission. Food was delicious staff was on point, but only option for purchase upgrade vodka but not upgrade for Prosecco/champagne or white wine so we went to main bar to purchase and not enough seating or anywhere to lean on to eat.

  • Surprisingly Underwhelming

by Richie on 9/17/24Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 3 out of 5

We've seen several ABBA tribute bands over the years, including ARRIVAL. We anticipated a BOOMING performance with the 65-piece orchestra bur were surprised at the lack of BOOM. We didn't even feel the same energy of the crowd that we'd experienced at past shows. The first act & the first portion of the second act were fine but then the show evolved into somewhat of a "rock opera,"with narratives of a story & songs we didn't recognize. It's like they wanted to unnecessarily extend the show in order to feature the orchestra. We eventually got frustrated to the extend that we sacrificed Dancing Queen & left early.

Beautiful show and experience. Music at the right volume level. It was very enjoyable

Although the performance of the group was great but i really thought I was going to see the real ABBA band knowing how old they are now. The advertisement for the event was not fully transparent and the posted pictures appeared to be those of the real band when younger. This sentiment was shared by many audiences during the show. Disappointing

  • ABBA

by J.C on 9/17/24Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

My opinion about the ABBA concert, it was incredible and it was magical bringing me back to that beautiful music from ABBA. I would definitely recommend it if you haven't seen it yet. I enjoyed the beautiful place we were it was presented.

  • Abba Arrival

by Disappointed on 9/17/24Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 3 out of 5

I think the show was +/- ok. The volume of the music was at times deafening and the dingers really did appear to “reach” for some of the high notes. There were a few off key moments as well. I was disappointed with the Symphony since they could not be heard or appreciated and their prince seemed superfluous to the performance. I would not recommend the show.

  • Excellent show.

The 3rd time I attended the ABBA show and South Florida Symphonic Orchestra made this show so memorable.

  • Fabulous, joyous , and super!

Just splendid the music of ABBA is timeless. I went with 9 friends and everyone was up and dancing.

  • Very good

by RL on 9/17/24Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 4 out of 5

They did three songs in the second act that probably should be excluded from attempted musical from Abba other than that, it was an excellent show would attend again

  • Very nice event

by Scot on 9/17/24Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 4 out of 5

The music was well done and the artists were very good. I loved the hits. They played some music associated with "The Girl with the Golden Hair". This for me was just ok. I would recommend this for anyone who is familiar with the ABBA hits or wants to be familiar with them. The South Florida Symphony Orchestra played with ABBA which was terrific. It made it a very musical night. They had no recorded anything - just pure live music.

  • Disappointed that no art graphics

by Instruments too loud on 9/17/24Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 1 out of 5

Show has symphony with 100 instruments that drowned out the signing voices. Disappointed with no video screens or art work. The singers are great, the show is not.

  • Ethereal

by Cat on 9/17/24Au-Rene Theater at the Broward Center - Ft LauderdaleRating: 5 out of 5

The FL Symphony made it so much more than it ever could have been. I didn’t like the story that was told about The girl with the golden hair. Would have enjoyed more songs instead otherwise it was fabulous.!

  • Great singers, band but mixing was poor.

by RT on 9/16/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - DurhamRating: 4 out of 5

The group had great musicians and the back up singers were great - heard every words of the lyrics. Sadly, the 2 lead singers suffered from poor mixing. Their microphones were completely overwhelmed by the band and, even though we knew the words to every song, the singers voices were drowned out by the band. Really a shame - both women had great voices. T

  • Awesome ABBA Show

by Beachblues on 9/16/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - DurhamRating: 5 out of 5

This is the 4th time I have seen this show and it keeps getting better every time. The cast remains the same but improved costumes and the addition of the 3 backup singers taking center stage for a song were new. Also the addition of a new instrumental song and the previous jam song were both excellent. Of course the two lead singers are over the top with their harmonizing and stage movements. Also new this year was a “yellow hair” story of how the ABBA singers got their start. It they come back, I will see them again as the crowd and I love the songs and the show!

  • Not engaging

by NCL on 9/15/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - DurhamRating: 3 out of 5

The performance did not bring the energy or engagement that I have experienced at other Abba tribute shows.

  • Just OK

by NC Deacon on 9/15/24DPAC - Durham Performing Arts Center - DurhamRating: 2 out of 5

I saw Arrival from Sweden at Tanger Center last year and thoroughly enjoyed celebrating the songs of ABBA! Couldn't wait to bring my family to DPAC when I saw they were coming. Well, not sure what changed (it wasn't the wigs or costumes, haha) but the performance was not nearly as entertaining as the previous time. Very disappointed. Won't bother to see them again.
