    Disappointed

    by MJ on 8/24/23

I'd read reviews touting AFS as the best ABBA tribute band - a thrilling evening. I found the evening tortuous. The vocals were drowned out by the drums and instruments and over-modulated sound system. The choreography was repetitious and didn't add anything to the music. The lighting was mundane and distracting at best. And the sound level was so deafening at times that I actually had to put my hands over my ears to be able to stay in the auditorium. My husband has been a huge ABBA fan for 50 years and we know their music very well. This didn't come close enough to qualify as a tribute.

    Absolutely Amazing!!!

I bought tickets for my husband, preteen daughter, dad, stepmother, and myself. We ALL had an amazing time! The music of Abba transcends generations. Would love to see it again!

This show was wonderful! Awesome singing, costumes! People were dancing in the aisles! Only complaint is I wish it was longer show! Didn’t want show to end

    Arrival of ABBA

    by Dave on 8/22/23

From the first chord to the standing ovation to Dancing Queen that has to be one of the best copycat bands I have seen in a long time. They were incredible. The backup vocals were superb. The band members were all in sync. I truly enjoyed myself and people just loved the show. High energy and a fun night. I looked for the rest of the tour so my friends around the uS could see them but only 2 shows left this year and 2 for next year thus far. Wow. I would love to see them again and bring my 87-year-old mother who would be dancing in her seat. The two ladies were beautiful and their voices were even better. Try and see them.

    Great Music

    by BAAB on 8/22/23

Close your eyes and imagine. The music was great. Captured the essence of ABBA in the musical presentation. The pianist was excellent, the lead guitarist had terrific riffs, have to mention the talented sax/guitar/keyboard player. steady rhythm by the Bassist, talented trio of backup singers, but most delightful and entertaining was the Drummer - truly having fun throughout the entire performance. Costumes and wigs were questionable. Having seen many ABBA tribute bands, this was the best.

    Just ok

    by Doug on 8/22/23

The volume level was excessive, even with ear plugs. My iPhone issues noise level warnings, sound level hit 95 decibels! One lead singer would sing very well at times, but struggled to find the correct pitch at other times. I think the excellent backing vocals helped her. The keyboard player was extremely talented. I found it interesting that the cast broke character and talked about themselves in the third person. Their stage presence lacked, with the keyboard player at one point chastising the audience for not following directions. I visually missed a significant part of the show because 3 people stood in front of us for the majority of the show, almost never sitting. A large portion of the audience were clearly super fans and enjoyed the show, others left before it was over. Compared to a Beatles tribute band that I saw, this act felt more like amateurs.

    Fun Evening with Friends

    by JennBrew on 8/21/23

Had a great time old friends and new ones! Band was excellent and you can't have a bad time with ABBA Music! Only reason I gave it a 4 stars was the costumes and wigs looked cheap, performances however made up for that!

Arrival from Sweden is an amazing group! They did a great job with the Abba songs! Would definitely go see them again if they come back to the Tanger Center!

Great show but lacking visual effects

    by Richard on 8/21/23

The group put on a great show, sounding close to ABBA. Bass was a little heavy compared to ABBA, and visual effects behind the band was lacking to non existent. Seen some great shows from other tribute acts and original groups that have great visual effects, videos, artistic effects, etc. Well worth the evening however and enjoyed the set they played.

    Just ABBA

    by Eve on 8/21/23

The music was what was expected. The wigs were gag and the costumes and choreography dated. Expected a bunch more of a show as in something besides blinding strobes and a kindergarten light show. Disappointed in Tanger or maybe this lil band had no proprietary rights so the hype was our 70s memories to take our money and run. Alcohol was the key driver of the atmosphere. False advertising using the picture to lure us in, probably why only one show. Too $$$$. The backup sparkle girls were great.

    Better than Expected

    by Mama Mia on 8/21/23

Really great show. So much better than expected. Maybe I had my sights set too low, but these guys and gals really impressed me. Super talented piano player. They had people dancing in the aisles. Highly recommended.

A very good ABBA tribute band

    by Jacx on 8/21/23

The band was very good and the singers had great voices to cover the songs. I would have given five stars except they played a fair number of more obsure ABBA songs that I didn't know.
