Really bad play
by Reeky on 3/23/14Temple of Music and Art - TucsonWe left at intermission, and would have left earlier if we were seated closer to the aisle. The play is unfunny and plodding, and the characters are uninteresting. With all the decent plays out there, why waste tens of thousands of dollars producing this one? I'm wondering about the initial readings: who was laughing or saying "gee that's great theater!" as the in-play narrators moved the story along by describing the plot without any wit or humor? It's too bad -- if I remember rightly, Jules Verne skewered the English gentleman's persnickety habits in the book...almost none of that came through in the play.
