Apollo's Fire Tickets

I enjoyed the instrumental pieces. The musicians were superb and the choice of music was great. However, the vocal pieces and "story line" were annoying. The voices were too operatic for the early American music and the "acting" felt like a poor production I saw at Dollywood. We left at intermission. Cain Park was great until the mosquitos attacked. I would think they would spray insecticide at this outdoor venue.

The talent and versatility of this group is spectacular. As audiences have always seen, they are skilled musicians with a palpable passion for their work. It is striking that they can take on such a different genre of music with the same professionalism with which they do their Baroque repertoire. A completely enjoyable evening!
