    Apassionata

This show was wonderful. I loved the music and the gentle way the horses were signaled to perform. It was a very entertaining and peaceful performance. Costumes were beautiful and the horses were magnificent. The tap dancing routine was awesome, and the comedy routines were enjoyable as well. The show started 15 minutes late. Nearly everyone moved to better seats as there were plenty available.

    Apassionata Ambiguity

by Guenevier on 5/2/12Freedom Hall - Louisville

Overall, it was beautiful & a wonderful tribute to the horse. But, the music was too loud, dancers were unnecessary, & at times the show moved too slowly. What bothered me most was the use of fire & sparklers near the horses. I see your point, but NOTHING justifies using fire near a horse. Upsetting to me & others. I suggest omitting fire & dancers, & adding scripted narration to help the audience understand/appreciate the riders' efforts more (e.g., crossovers, dressage moves, tandem reining). Also, introducing the various breeds, what each act is about, what characteristic(s) of horse/rider are highlighted in each act.

    apassionata was unforgettable!

From the moment the show started until the very end where you got to meet everyone and pet the horses I was amazed. I have never seen a draft horse be so light on it's feet, or a donkey that is able to do tricks, or a group of 4 horses that follow a woman based on a mere hand movement. Go see this show!!!!

    Outstanding!

by Frostequeene on 5/2/12Freedom Hall - Louisville

Absolutely INCREDIBLE!!! I had the fortune of seeing it twice - once at their first ever American show on April 27th, then again on April 29th. I was enthralled both times and cannot wait until they come back next year! If you love and appreciate horses and are on the edge about whether or not to see it, GO SEE THE SHOW!!!! You WON'T be disappointed!!!!

The show was OK but not really APASSIONATA

by SHOGUIDOBI on 5/2/12Freedom Hall - Louisville

I paid almost $300 for a "VIP" seat on the second floor and majority of the shows with obstacles were done at the opposite side of the track, besides not that many Spanish horses performing.. it was more like an acrobats & dancers show instead of horses... there were some parts really beautiful with wild horses running loose but again no even close to real horses performance like I thought it was.. I felt like in the circus the only part I was waiting on was the Bengal tigers it's worth it if you pay $50 tickets which were only a few feet away from us...

    Apassionata was amazing!

by KySister on 5/2/12Freedom Hall - Louisville

It was absolutely wonderful! To me it was going to a horse show with so many different events, however, instead of taking a week to see everything these amazing animals can do, it all happened in an afternoon! The magic between the horses and performers was beautiful to see.

    Apassionata was okay

by Cornithian on 5/2/12Freedom Hall - Louisville

Repetitive, derivative. Most acts were variations of the same dressage movements. Music was much too loud. Lighting was abominable - it seemed most of the acts were either in shadow or the lights were flashing at the beginning of the act. Could barely see the donkey asleep act at my end of the arena; the act would have been cute if done in middle of arena. Second half of the show was much better than the first half. "Program" price - $20 - was obscene!

This show was amazing!!! Traveled from Iowa to Kentucky with 3 other ladies and was well worth the 1300 miles round trip. Considering going again in Jan. when they are in Des Moines.

    Wonderful.

by NathanKross on 5/1/12Freedom Hall - Loiusville

I wanted to treat my wife (a horse trainer) to something special. I noticed a billboard while driving through North Carolina for Apassionata. I went to their website and looked at the schedule for their tour, and noticed that they would be in Louisville, KY the following weekend, so I surprised her. The show was wonderful, the riding and tricks that the trainers have taught the horses (from mini Shetland Pony to donkey, to Draft) are amazing. A heavy Spanish Riding School influence, without a doubt, but all types of styles are represented here. Sadly, the crowd seemed to have lost on some of the show, as applause were scattered at best. I feel that this is simply due to the American mentality more than anything. I can see why they are so popular in Europe, and I have no doubt they will do well here.
