About

The ultimate love story continues in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Love Never Dies, the spellbinding sequel to The Phantom of the Opera.

Love Never Dies is a dazzling new production, which takes audiences on a thrilling rollercoaster ride of intrigue, obsession and romance. Be seduced by the beautiful; sometimes magical and poetic; sometimes joyful; and occasionally melancholic score. Don’t miss this magnificent continuation of one of the world’s greatest love stories.

The year is 1907. It is 10 years after his disappearance from the Paris Opera House and the Phantom has escaped to a new life in New York where he lives amongst the screaming joy rides and freak shows of Coney Island. In this new, electrically charged world, he has finally found a place for his music to soar, but he has never stopped yearning for his one true love and musical protégée, Christine Daaé.

I loved the continuation of the epic Phantom story. The cast was phenomenal! Their voices were amazing and they all looked the part too. And the sets were so impressive! Loved it!!! If you love Oanton of the Opera, you need to see this play!!

    OMG!!! Weber's done it again

by Anonymous on 9/11/18The Orpheum Theatre Memphis - Memphis

It you know the music from Phantom of the Opera, then you will recognize the same under-current in this music. I was completely transported; the voices of all the cast far exceeded my expectation; the choreography, the set design, and the list goes on. We sat higher than we have previously done (we got seats in the balcony and they were just fine... a completely unobstructed view

Bankrupt yourself if you attend a performance.

by Backgammon on 9/11/18The Orpheum Theatre Memphis - Memphis

When I purchased my tickets, it appeared their was another row above me. My tickets were then lost in the mail and did not arrive until the day before the performance. When I arrived at my seats, I almost passed out. For an $80.00 ticket I was higher than the top of the stage. I could not even see the faces of the actors. I could hear them but could barely see them. Since I can not afford 300 to $400. per ticket, this theatre is not for me.

by Buddy75 on 9/11/18The Orpheum Theatre Memphis - Memphis

Overall I was not impressed. Most of the music was good. I thought Christine was terrrific. Her voice was just great. I can't say enough good things about her.

    great follow up for phantom

by PoppingPenguin on 9/11/18The Orpheum Theatre Memphis - Memphis

Overall, this show was lovely and dark! It had the nostalgia of the original and some of the music hinted to that, but there was still plenty of new music as well. The costumes and set design were amazing. Some of the voices were a bit jumbled and hard to hear but overall they did extremely well.

This is the best show I have ever seen live

by NarrativeARC on 9/11/18The Orpheum Theatre Memphis - Memphis

Everything about this production is flawless. The actors are the best I have heard, the sets and costumes are beautifully designed. The ending is heartbreaking, and I had tears in my eyes. The plot may not be something Gaston Leroux would have written, and ALW plays fast and loose with the timeframe, but it doesn't take anything away from this show. The fantastic music just sweeps you up, and you surrender to the brilliant sights and sounds. I love variations on the POTO story. Like Dracula, Frankenstein, and other gothic novels, the story has been told in various ways over the years. Every author, director, and actor has added their spin to the story. If you're a purist and the way ALW's (or Leroux's) POTO ends fulfills everything you want in the story, and if you can't imagine the characters changing in unexpected and possibly negative ways, you will dislike LND, but I am glad this musical exists and gets the production it deserves.

Love never dies with me for the Phantom

by Joy198217 on 9/11/18The Orpheum Theatre Memphis - Memphis

This was by far one of the best Broadway shows I have ever seen! I was thrilled to find out it was coming to Memphis! The power of the voices and the beauty of the Orpheum combined made this trip completely worth it for me. I recommend anyone who hasn't seen Love Never Dies to go!

    Love Never Dies

by Anonymous on 9/10/18The Orpheum Theatre Memphis - Memphis

Compared to Phantom of the Opera, it was a disappointment, but that's typically true of sequels. Still, there were moments when I heard the familiar sound of the composer coming thru. And it was technically very well done. I just had higher expectations.

    Thoroughly Enjoyed

by Melodie2 on 9/10/18The Orpheum Theatre Memphis - Memphis

Costumes, music, songs, singing were exceptional. Only concern I had, was not always being able to follow dialog when they were singing their parts...

    Something to experience

by Anonymous on 9/10/18The Orpheum Theatre Memphis - Memphis

This is my first musical performance. I have put on local plays so I thought it would be interesting to see a large production. My daughter loves watching musicals, so my husband and I decided to take her. She had an amazing time. She is 15. The venue is beautiful and everyone was super friendly. My husband enjoyed it as well. Even if you don't love this type of performance it's worth the experience.

Love Never Dies is another Andrew Lloyd Webber masterpiece! The cast is superb, especially Bronson Norris Murphy as the Phantom, who brings this iconic character gloriously to life with his stunning vocals and passionate interpretation! A must-see for all Phantom “phans” and anyone who loves a night of outstanding theater! Beautiful in every way!!

    Not worth the money

by Righnow18 on 9/9/18The Orpheum Theatre Memphis - Memphis

What a let down. Performers tried their best to put on a show that Andrew Webber failed at producing and writing!
