Andrea Bocelli is one of the most recognizable voices in the world. For three decades, his lush arias and stylistic range have made him the bestselling classical solo artist in history (selling 90 million albums worldwide), leading to Celine Dion famously saying said that "if God would have a singing voice, he must sound a lot like Andrea Bocelli.” The blind, Tuscany-born tenor’s concerts are a testament to his range and crossover appeal; Bocelli has become known for a blend of romantic operas by Puccini and Verdi, Schubert’s “Ave Maria,” and pop duets with stars like Dua Lipa. Over the course of his career, Bocelli has awed audiences from arenas and cathedrals to the Vatican and YouTube, where his 2020 “Music for Hope” Easter concert was viewed 28 million times worldwide within the first 24 hours.

Absolutely a voice that will never be forgotten. I will always cherish the moment
Music was outstanding. The presentation was wonderful The only negative part was letting the audience in well after the concert had started, even up to intermission. This was very disruptive as most could not see to find their seats. There should be a rule that no one is admitted after 10 minutes into the concert. If they can't get there, then they just miss the first part. You would be amazed how they would arrive on time the next time.
Andres Bocelli was incredible Amazing voice and put on a great performance. Orchestra was also terrific. A once in a lifetime experience. Check another item off the bucket list,
This wasn't a show that I expected. It was nice to experience his Opera career highlights. It was beautiful.
This was my 4th time hearing Andrea Bocelli. I always enjoy hearing him. The music was beautiful....no complaints there. I was so disappointed however, that he didn't sing "The Prayer". Those who were sitting around me were disappointed, as well. The First Horizon Coliseum in Greensboro was hard to get to. Not very organized. We finally parked in a private lot and walked the rest of the way (3/10 mile) to get to the coliseum. Then we stood in line for over 20 minutes because there was only one door open.
Andrea Bocelli put on a fabulous show. It started off slowly, with what seemed to be a quick intermission after only a few songs but ended with a bang. He is truly marvelous to see, even in a large venue like the First Horizon Coliseum. The negatives were: - No program to tell you what was being sung or with whom if it was a duet; - We kept getting emails to be parked before 6.30 pm for an 8pm show. We got there early, the doors didn't open until 6.30 and it was a rainy evening; - Parking was $30 - ridiculous; - They allowed people to be seated after the performance started. This was very distracting as I had 8 people show up late with drinks in their hands and constantly talking through the show. All of that is on the venue. Bocelli was marvelous and I would absolutely see him again.
Once again Andrea Bocelli delivered a rousing performance. We are lucky to experience his talent. We've seen two of his concerts and he uses a local symphony whenever possible, in this case the Greensboro Orchestra and chorale. He also included 2 sopranos, a baritone, and a violin player. The sound level was just a bit high for the Coliseum but no complaints otherwise. It would have been nice is the concession stands offered his prosecco that was advertised :>)
SURREAL! I have been going to concerts since 1971 all types of Genres this has been the most amazing concert. Truely a bucket list item.
Some people are touched in this life with a gift that came from God. This man’s voice is as strong as ever and I’m sure he still puts younger singers to shame. This was a life changing show that I will never forget. It was expensive but I’m glad that I spent the money to witness this genius in person.
Bocelli was magnificent. His voice soared beautifully. Each piece presented was masterfully performed. We loved every moment. Bocelli's performance was powerfully completed with 3 encores. These encores, especially the second and third ones, were worth the night's admission. Words fail to describe the beauty and power of the evening. Even my lack of knowledge regarding opera and the music chosen for the evening could not empact the wonder and power of that which Bocelli offered so tremendously. The Greensboro Symphony played beautifully. They seemd to play flawlessly. Bocelli invited others to sing with him. Their voices augmented and supported him well, as he supported them. I wish I had caught their names. These guest musicians were great. There as a special preformace by a female violinist. Her music was lovely. I found it best to close my eyes when she performed. Her facial expressions and physical mannerisms were distracting from the music. The only negatives I have to offer revolve around the sound and light portion of the show. The volumn of the speakers was too much. It was painful to my ears. One positive regarding the wall-shaking speaker level is that it covered the chatter of other attendees. The use of giant floodlights shining into the eyes of the audience after each musical performace was unnecessary. Additionally, the use of the swirlling lights during performances of Bocelli's operatic repertoire may have been an attempt to elevate Bocelli's concert, somehow. (How does one elevate Bocelli, in the first place?) In my eyes, and of those attending with me, the swirlling lights created headaches and pain. The flashing lights, rather than improving the concert, lowered it to something akin to a singer trying attract attention to their "show". I would gladly return to hear Bocelli and his guests again.
Bocelli always brings his A Game! I love and admire Bocelli - the voice - the stage presence - the honorable family man - the courageous! Try to do a inperson concert yearly _ this year ill do 3. Tthe Greensboro Symphony n the Symphony Chorus were amazing The conductor charming n inclusive. Greensboro the city charming - great food!
This was an event I had dreamed of attending! It was literally a bucket list item and Andrea Boccelli did not disappoint! His performance and the performances of the additional artists were superb! I literally wore a smile across my face the entire performance and the visual effects were stunning! I loved the images of the sweeping fields of grains and flowers that fed the visual cortex! I attended with my best friend of more than forty years which made the evening all the more special!
The 3/4ths to 2/3rds of concert we saw was fabulous and I believe most would agree. We missed the first portion for the ridiculous traffic mismanagement and delays on the way to the concert (thank you, City of Greensboro for poor choices and bike lanes) and due to the sad management and understaffing of the venue by Oak View Group, who has no idea anything about the city of Greensboro and the coliseum venue. Shame on all involved in traffic flow, parking, and admissions to this world renowned event in Greensboro. Apologies to those who traveled to the city. As a tax payer it was embarrassing to be in line with them, and should we land another big event as such, hopefully the city and Oak View Group will work together to better represent our city.
Getting into the parking lot was a nightmare! It took us over an hour or more just to park! Once we got inside luckily the concert had not started yet. Andrea Bocelli and his invited guests were all beyond spectacular! I was just mesmerized by his talent and loved every single minute! The orchestra and the choir rounded out the performance nicely. It was worth every penny!
This concert was on my bucket list. Andrea Bocelli did not disappoint! He open his mouth and beauty emits. It's so effortless and is shear perfection!
Bocelli was in fine form but he looked tired to me. That's NOT a negative, I was just sitting by the stairs where the performers exited the stage and I got to look Andrea almost eye to eye. It's of course no wonder he is simply magnificent!! The rest of the performers were also incredible. The orchestra was simply amazing along with the conductor (who made me tired just watching him!!!) I'll darn well be there when he tours again here in the US. My wife and I drove from Texas to North Carolina JUST to attend his concert!!
The evening with Bocelli was everything we imagined and mire. The generous performer was onstage the entire evening. That said, the guests artists were equal to their challenges. The Greensboro Symphony Orchestra was flawless and I the choral group who supported the vocals was beyond rapproch. Kudos to the lighting team and tech crew. It was an evening equal to Lincoln Center! To notch.
The show was fantastic. However, continuing to seat late arrivals 45 minutes after the start of the show was extremely distracting and rude. They were loud and shining flashlights everywhere. They should not have been seated until intermission. Extremely disappointing.
What a great voice and have been a fan for years and finally had a chance to attend. Moving and powerful to see in person.
The venue was fine, voices were amazing but the concert lacked AB personality. This was our 4th concert and our last. We wanted to hear AB famous songs sprinkled in the performance. Way too much opera in Italian.
