Leslie Odom, Jr. can sing anything! He did jazz and big band standards, funk, gospel, rock, soul, and of course, Hamilton. His band is fantastic too. He reminds me of Sam Cooke only better.

“An Evening with Leslie Odom Jr” in Chicago was fabulous! He is such a gifted singer and performer. His band was amazing!! From the standards to the contemporary songs. From “Ave Maria” to “Dear Theodosia”, I was spellbound. One of the best evenings I’ve enjoyed.

From Fly me to the Moon to Ave Maria, with sprinkling of Hamilton and soulful new music, Leslie Odum Jr truly took us to church in the best way possible! His artistry was perfectly matched by his incredibly talented band. One of the best concerts I have seen in quite some time.

The show was probably the most flawless concert I’ve ever experienced! Leslie Odom Jr was engaging with the audience, brilliant with his vocal skills and his song choices were simply amazing. I was hoping that he would perform my favorite song of his “Without You”. But his last encore choice didn’t disappoint at all. Again a show of perfection!

Took my wife to see Leslie Odom Jr. because she is a big fan. Leslie and his band are some of the most talented musicians we have ever seen. He played his hits (including 3 from Hamilton and some songs off his Christmas album). I would recommend seeing this show if you have a chance.
Bio
Leslie Odom, Jr. is a multifaceted Tony and Grammy Award-winning, three-time Emmy and two-time Academy Award-nominated vocalist, songwriter, actor, and New York Times bestselling author. With a career that spans all performance genres, Odom has received recognition for his excellence and achievements in Broadway, television, film, and music. Most recently, Odom made his long-awaited return to Broadway starring in, and co-producing, the new Broadway production of the classic American comedy Purlie Victorious: A Non-Confederate Romp Through the Cotton Patch by the legendary Ossie Davis, which opened in September 2023 to widespread critical acclaim. Additionally, he stars in the highly anticipated sequel to the original iconic film The Exorcist for Blumhouse and Universal Pictures out October 6, 2023.
