Wipe Your Feet
by WJ Attiberry on 11/8/19Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place - ChicagoYou sheepishly and quietly wait in the old professor's living room. Patiently, because you are budding American writer, a humbling title no matter what descriptive word is used before the others. He on the other hand, is a world renown author, with friends who are world renown authors, and tutored at a world renown institution. But none the less, you are there, and CS Lewis enters the room with a bounce and with tea, of course. There is an urge to stand, but his smile permits you to remain comfortably seated with respect. No time for formalities, he has something to say and you want to hear it all, with or without tea. After all, it is November 1963, the Don has lived his life and you have not. The production is realistic enough, you want to ask questions and contribute to the evening, thank god you can't. Enjoy!
