Great show! Could have been more dancing, they should have been dancing while Mark was playing guitar and singing.

I purchased tickets to see dancing-not Mark Ballas sing and play guitar. I thought there would have been more than four dancers, not to mention more dancing.

It was fun to see this kind of professional dancing live, and Kevin Farley was an amazing surprise for the mc of the event. Good show... would have liked it to be a little longer, but I guess all good things must come to an End.

Overall the show was good. We enjoyed seeing the dancers in person. Kevin Farley was a good MC, but we felt there could have been less of Mark singing and more dancing. Enjoyed the audience members being brought up on stage and learning a few moves, then competing against each other. Overall it was an entertaining show and I would recommend it.

Quality was excellent but quantity lacked. What dancing was done was fun to watch but there wasn't very much.

    Where was the dancing?

by JamesBlaine on 2/6/12Grand Casino Hinckley Event Center - Hinckley

This event should have been called the Mark Ballas Talent Hour. The first 40-minutes of the show consisted of a stand-up routine by the host, Kevin Farley and Mark Ballas playing his guitar and singing four original songs. At about 8:45 pm, we saw the first dance. First was Mark and Karina and then it was followed by Tristan and Petra. Then it was time for more stand-up comedy and another three songs by Mark. In the 1 hour and 30 minute show, there were a total of 8 dances , no greater than 2 minutes per dance...so no more than 20 minutes of our favorite dancers dancing. The one piece of the show I liked was when Mark / Karina / Tristan and Petra asked for both men and women to come up on the stage and learn a dance. Unfortunately, a drunk attendee from the front row made it on stage and it went downhill from there.

We were totally disappointed in the show. We went there to see dancing and there was more guitar playing by Mark and Kevin Farley jokes. The price wasnt that expensive but for what I saw, totally unhappy!

The dancing was good, and it was cool to watch Mark Ballas play a song or 2 on the guitar, but he played about 6, and the comedian was awful! I paid over $50 to watch the dancers with my daughter, and we got to see 8 dances. The comedian spent more time on the stage than the dancers. I didn't want to see a vulgar comedy act.

The opening comedian was like a state fair barker for a strip show. He was not funny, but did handle hecklers well. The dancers are fantastic, but really wanted more dancing and less singing. They need to bring more dancers from a troupe for example, as well as the celebrity instructors so they don't need so much filler between dances. Because Mark Ballast was ok singing, but the sound system was not really good for his music and really wanted more dancing or talking with dancers about their experiences. The best part was the audience participation and the dancers were so generous and real with their interactions.

    Mislead

by jim90blu on 2/5/12Grand Casino Hinckley Event Center - Hinckley

I expected dancing but half the show was Mark Ballas singing, and not that well. I feel mislead. And the MC was terrible. He doesn't need new material, he needs any material.

    Disappointed there wasn't more dancing.

by 27Marie2 on 2/5/12Grand Casino Hinckley Event Center - Hinckley

We attended thinking that we were seeing a ballroom dancing show, but actually Mark Ballas was singing/playing his guitar for at least half of the entire show. We had not expected to be at a "concert".......it was also very loud. We enjoyed the dancing portion, which is what we went there for, but each couple did about 3 numbers. Would have liked to have seen more dancing!

Dancing With the Stars was a Joke!! Who danced?

by WilmaF on 2/5/12Grand Casino Hinckley Event Center - Hinckley

We couldn't have been more disappointed. The comedian (Kevin Farley) was on for 15 minutes with nothing but bad jokes. When you have to resort to fart jokes you know it's bad. Then Mark Ballas played his guitar and sang (if you can call that singing - one woman described his voice as his pants were two sizes too small) for about 15 minutes. Then we did get to see 2 dances. Then Mark was on singing again. Then there were 4 dances. That was it. The final 30 minutes was audience participation. Not fun. We expected a 2 hour show in all but it was less than 1-1/2 hours. Don't waste your time or money. The only plus was that Tristin stayed out afterward for photos with the audience. The others disappeared like smoke. Oh not at the casino - that's all smoke!!

The dancing and choreography was substandard. If a venue books this entertainment, they would appear to have little or no other options because the people associated with this show have obviously little or no talent. Please save your hard earned money and see a show that will not put you to sleep.
