Amel Larrieux Tickets

I have seen Amel 4 times in the DC area and it is always such a great experience! I leave happy and recharged for life. Each concert is unique. She interacts with the audience; she knows her fans and dedicates songs to them, she takes shout-outs (within reason) and she puts on a SHOW! If you're reading this, you're probably already a fan of her talent, so I don't think I need to say too much about her range and vocal intelligence, but if you've never heard her live, you should. The most amazing part about her shows is that the rest of the world seemingly doesn't get it, so they're generally in fairly intimate venues. Amel was even kind enough to stay late to sign autographs after what was surely an exhausting set. I would recommend her to anyone who loves music.

Mrs. Larrieux was amazing. Her vocals are powerful and beautiful. I loved how she recognize people that supported her and got the audience to sing. Her spirit is real.

I never miss Amel Larrieux when she's in town. She always puts on a great show without all the theatrics....just good music and vocals. And might I add that her interaction with the audience is superb. She's really engaging!

Amel's perfomance at the Birchmere was unforgettably spectacular!!!! She is a brilliant, lyrical, creative, and metaphysical artist with so much soul! To put it simply she is beyond consciousness.

Amel Larrieux's show is phenomenal. She is a breath of fresh air. You feel like you're hanging out with a friend who knows you, and knows the song of your heart. She is gracious, her voice is amazing, and she is just naturally beautiful inside and out. She stays connected to the people that listen to her music and appreciates their dedication. She loves her family and they are part of her team. Her new music that she shared with us ... hot! Look out for the new cd ---whenever it comes out, you're going to need it!

Amel is one of the most gifted and giving entertainers of our time. This was my third time seeing her in concert and each time I've left feeling inspired. She emanates love. I would travel anywhere in the world to watch her perform. She is magnetic!

i'm a diehard fan so it's hard for me to be disappointed. but for those who have heard her music and like her sound...i'm here to tell you it is NOTHING compared to her live performances. her vocals are amazing...on point...sharp as a tack...and her skill level is touched by few. from her dropping to a baratone to killing the whistle register....aw man it's simply thrilling to see her live. and her personality is unmatched. there hasn't been one show that i've gone to where she wasn't standing less than a foot away from me singing. she always steps down and engages with her audience. she's truly a people person. she has some new songs coming...she performed them lastnight. now i can't wait for the new CD.

Amel Larrieux's vocals never lets down. Even after 15 years, her range,pitch and tone is unbelievable! Her performance is always warm and inviting. She loves to connect with her audience. I've been following her career since she launched with Groove Theory in the late 90's. I can't wait for her new CD to drop..

I have seen her twice at the Birchmere and every show is just amazing. If you are a true fan you will enjoy it. If you are new to her you will leave a true fan

She is such an intimate performer. I've been a fan such I was a little girl. I got the chance to meet her after her show! She is stunning and such a gracious woman. I was in tears while meeting her and she was so warm and welcoming.

I dont go to a lot of shows but there are only a few I would pay to see. Amel is one of those artist. Cant even describe how amazing she sounds live. He interaction with the crowd was very nice. Sometime artists make you feel as if you are their minions and will cheer simply because you are there. But Amel makes you feel as if she with you, like she came to the concert with you. A down to earth quality missing from much,much bigger stars.

Great venue, great performance, great artist! Amel Larrieux is a great live singer, and really involved the audience in an amazing experience.

Amel Larrieux deserves a much wider audience. Her talent is palpable. Her vocal range is astonishing. Her songwriting insights, and amazingly accessible performance was manna for music lovers of any music genre-- for many genres are encompassed. Among her contemporaries: Sade, Maxwell; song writers extraordinaire, performers non compare Amel deserves the same stature. Among her predecessors her song writing is every bit as poignant as Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, and James Taylor, infused with the best of Motown: Smokey Robinson, and Holland, Dozier, Holland. Amel's band and back-up singers are not to be left out of this discussion for they were immaculate. To sum up: Ms. Larrieux is a formidable musical force, for which I will be a fan forever! Every live performance I see validates this, and seems personally tweeked with impromptu arrangements and a few tossed in scats. Ms. Larrieux is a rare bird indeed: A VERY RARE SONG BIRD!

What a great experience to see Amel Larrieux up close and personal!! A concert I'll never forget. An amazing show. She was fabuloso. And to see her at the Birchmere was a real treat because she was so close. I was right at the center table directly in front of the stage on the 50 yard line. I could reach out and touch her. She was beautiful and her 14 year old daughter who sang backup for the songstress was totally on point. Great show. I'll definitely be revisiting the Birchmere for an intimate affair very soon. Thanks.

Truly amazing musicianship, Amel and her band, along with her astounding backup singers (one of whom was her 14 year old daughter!) put on a terrific show! Amel danced her way through the audience and even convinced a few audience members to sing! She responded to a request to personally sing her most heartfelt ballad directly to a couple who were celebrating their 10th wedding anniversary, which was the emotional highlight of the performance. From jazz scatting to amazing range to playful interaction with her bandmates and the audience, Amel is a seasoned and sensational master (mistress) of the stage!

Seeing Amel Larrieux at The Birchmere was an amazing experience! It is truly unfortunate that her talent is not heavily played on the airwaves-her voice is like a breathe of fresh air. It would definitely see her again, even if it is again in 2009-she is worth it!

As always Amel Larrieux gave a fabulous and inspiring performance!!!

She connected to the audience in a real close way. She sang beautifully and we had fun.

DOPE DOPE DOPE DOPE!!! This show was more mellow than the other times I've seen her perform. Most of the set was from Infinite Possibilities which was nice. I wish she would do a live album!

I knew it was going to be a great event when the opening act came out and set the tone. I was right! This was a truly great experience and I am happy I got the opportunity to go to this concert. Amel's style is both fresh and refreshing. It was so cool to see her daughter as on of her backup singers too. I highly recommend this event.
