About

American sister duo, Aly & AJ Michalka, have carved out a unique space in the entertainment industry with their work in music, television, and film. Starting out as Disney Channel stars, Aly gained fame through the series "Phil of the Future", while AJ made her mark co-starring in "Cow Belles" alongside her sister. Their music career took off with the release of their debut album, "Into the Rush", in 2005, featuring hits like "Rush" and "Chemicals React." Their follow-up album, 2x platinum selling "Insomniatic", included the iconic track "Potential Breakup Song," becoming a defining moment for many fans.

Both sisters continued to build their acting careers, with notable roles in "The Goldbergs" for AJ and "iZombie" for Aly, showcasing their versatility and talent across different mediums. Their acting credits extend across projects as diverse as "Easy A", "Super 8", "Hellcats", "Secretariat", "Schooled" & "The Good Doctor".

After a brief hiatus from music, Aly & AJ started their own record label and returned with a matured sound on their 2017 EP "Ten Years" and continued the evolution by releasing the critically acclaimed album "a touch of the beat gets you up on your feet gets you out and then into the sun" in 2021, which VOGUE called "the album of the summer." They made their festival debut at Lollapalooza in 2021, followed by a North American tour that had sold out shows in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago and Boston, among others. 2020 saw the resurgence of "Potential Breakup Song," with the song catching fire and becoming one of the top used songs for the year on TIK TOK. The trend resulted in over 2 billion video views and saw participation from fans across the world ranging from world renowned chef - Gordon Ramsey to Major League Baseball's Baltimore Orioles. In March 2023, they released their highly anticipated follow up "With Love From". The duo supported the album with a global tour that concluded with a sold-out show at The Greek Theatre in Los Angeles.

Beyond their professional endeavors, Aly & AJ are known for their advocacy work. They have been vocal supporters of LGBTQ+ rights and mental health awareness, using their platform to promote positive change while raising over $200,000.00 for The Trevor Project. Aly & AJ have also been fierce advocates of gun control and gun safety, particularly in the aftermath of surviving a mass shooting on tour, choosing to partner with Everytown, March Fourth, and Northwell Health, including a recent meeting with the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention during a visit to Capitol Hill in support of the reinstatement of the assault weapons ban.

In summary, Aly & AJ Michalka have carved out a remarkable career that spans across television, film, music, and business. Their journey from Disney Channel stars to accomplished musicians and actors is a testament to their talent, hard work, and enduring appeal. Their entrepreneurial mindset has helped them successfully release three albums independently, while also building an E-commerce business. With each new project, they continue to inspire and captivate audiences worldwide, solidifying their legacy as influential figures in the entertainment industry.

Aly & AJ put on an amazing show! It was so much fun, the energy in the room was amazing. They sounded great, played several instruments, and were interactive with the audience. Just so much talent and seemed like they absolutely love what they do, they were meant for the stage. I am a fan for life!

  • Best First Post-Covid Concert

by JT on 4/25/22Mercury Ballroom - LouisvilleRating: 5 out of 5

This concert was an amazing experience! It was my first concert since the pandemic, and it was the best way to get back into live shows. They sound exactly the same live as they do on their records and their energy is great! It was so much fun!

    by Luke M on 4/25/22Mercury Ballroom - LouisvilleRating: 5 out of 5

Did the meet and greet and it was awesome. Had front row pit for the show. They rocked it out. They are all really good musicians and the energy on stage and show was top notch. If you haven’t seen Aly & Aj your missing out.

  • Awesome

It was a amazing show from the opening band The Brummies and then Aly & AJ. They put on a great show. The floor was literally rocking and bouncing. Would definitely see them again.

  • Great experience

by Leigh on 4/22/22House of Blues Chicago - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

I got to meet Aly & AJ, they were very sweet, great sound check, took the time to let us ask questions, then we got to meet them individually! I’ve been a fan for like 18 years, so this was BIG for me. The show was amazing, I couldn’t have asked for a better show.they even played 2 of my favorite “old school” songs, “no one “ and “chemicals react”, the former being the first song that brought me to them, id play that on repeat for hours back in the day. Over 5/5 stars. They are good people.

  • Aly and Aj are incredible

by Lia on 4/22/22House of Blues Chicago - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

This performance was everything! Aly and Aj are incredible musicians and entertainers and I had so much fun seeing them. House of blues was a great venue other than a miscommunication with security for where we could stand, but they were polite.

  • Best. Show. Ever.

    by Mel C on 4/15/22Summit - DenverRating: 5 out of 5

Aly & AJ we’re literally god send! Amazing performers who used the entire stage, they played many instruments, and interacted with the audience. Being at the barricade was the best! They both came right in front of me several times and reached out to sing and point to fans. I can’t stop thinking about the show and those two! I’d stand for 7 hours all over again for Aly & AJ VIP Paradise package. A dream come true!

  • Amazing!

by Mel on 4/7/22The Fillmore - San FranciscoRating: 5 out of 5

They were so fun, sincere, and open with the audience about who they are and their experiences. The setlist was great and gave just enough new and old songs. I truly had a fun time and even their opener was nothing but a good time.

  • Amazing Concert!

I really enjoyed this concert. The girls sounded amazing. I even enjoyed the opening act, The Armors!

  • A dream come true!

    by M. G. on 7/4/19Neptune Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Aly & AJ were amazing! Great production, great audience, we all sang along for a few songs but it wasn't annoying like some concerts were everyone off key sings to even the obscure songs. I've wanted to see Aly and AJ since I was 13 so it was a real dream come true. They really brought great energy and were personable and fantastic. The Neptune is a great venue too

  • My Aly and AJ Concert Experience

by K. G. on 6/27/19House of Blues Anaheim presented by Cricket Wireless - AnaheimRating: 5 out of 5

I recently went to their show in Anaheim. This was my third time seeing them perform. I have been a fan of theirs since the beginning. I purchased the ultimate VIP package this time and I am so glad I did. With all the perks that come with being a VIP the soundcheck and meet and greet was a very intimate experience. Meeting the girls for the second time where I got to sit down, chill and have good conversation made the experience more intimate and personal. They are very sweet and genuine people. These girls put on a great show and do not disappoint. I highly recommend doing the full out VIP experience if you can afford it - you won't regret it!

  • GO! Even if you're thinking otherwise...

by areedabook on 6/27/19House of Blues Anaheim presented by Cricket Wireless - AnaheimRating: 5 out of 5

If you're in your late 20's and a Disney fan (like myself), then more than likely you were yelling "Don't let nobody tell you, your life is over" or "Now all I want is just my stuff back. Do you get that? Let me repeat that. I want my stuff BACK"! With their killer single, "Take Me", we loved and STILL love Aly and AJ! Their level of concert aesthetics is 1000% and their live performances sound just like you were listening to their album at home! Lip-Sync? Never! They're just THAT GOOD! I loved it and definitely will go to their future concerts!

  • Magical Night

by Jess on 6/27/19House of Blues Anaheim presented by Cricket Wireless - AnaheimRating: 5 out of 5

It was everything I wanted from the loveliest people and more. The work that they’ve done as allies and for the Trevor project, integrated into their show has helped a lot of people. They know their fan base and they’ve given us what we want and have helped us in many ways. Their opening acts, Jenna Rose and Armors, were a perfect compliment to their music as well. They’re genuinely good people and I love them for that. Their show was amazing from beginning to end, and more than delivered on the overall experience of being at an Aly & AJ concert in 2019. Thank you

  • Amazing - they are sooo good!

by Chel on 6/26/19House of Blues Anaheim presented by Cricket Wireless - AnaheimRating: 5 out of 5

The second act, Armors, was really great! Loves all of his songs and he had a wonderful voice. Loved the opening for Aly & AJ - epic. And the opening song - more epic. They sang SO well acoustically and both have such beautiful voices. Was an exciting night!

  • Each time keeps getting better

by Allie on 6/26/19House of Blues Anaheim presented by Cricket Wireless - AnaheimRating: 5 out of 5

After being a fan of Aly and AJ for over a decade and a half this feels like the "Grown Up Throwback" I've been waiting for. Each song from Into The Rush and Insomniatic still make me feel see and understood. They are still sung with all the passion I remember from 2008 and then some. The new stuff is brilliant. Sounds just like my mid to late twenties. Navigating Ling distance relationships# knowing when to let go, being impatient with the "will we won't we game", finding the person you love, feeing safe and sound with that person. Aly and AJ continue to sing truth. To be in the middle of that crowd singing "No one but me" at the top of our lungs is a feeling I will NEVER get over.

  • Amazing show!!!!

by K. L. on 6/26/19House of Blues Anaheim presented by Cricket Wireless - AnaheimRating: 5 out of 5

Please tour every year! It's so different hearing two beautiful voices who not only write their own songs, but play their instruments live, too. If I had a daughter I would use an Aly & AJ show to teach her how to appreciate talent, have perseverance and grit, connect with others, and use a platform/audience to be positive. Every song performed is spot-on, and you don't want it to end. The mix of new stuff with some old favorites is so well-executed and keeps a great energy going for the whe show.

  • Great Intimate Venue - These Girls Rock!

    by A. M. on 6/24/19Neptune Theatre - SeattleRating: 5 out of 5

Great small venue, you get a close view anywhere you stand (or sit). Easy bar access. Aly and A.j. sound exactly like they do on their new record. They are great performers and you can tell they genuinely love to tour. My only complaint is the heat in the venue. We were pretty toasty! Overall, I highly recommend Aly and A.j. and the Neptune!
