More than I hoped for
by SteveO on 8/26/23They played all my favorite songs and they were spot on. Loved watching Mark sing Miles part on Burn it Down and Miles jamming the lead. Absolutely perfect venue for this concert. Loved it.

For going on a decade now, Alter Bridge has been bringing hard-driving riffs, aggressive energy, and high-voltage stage shows to ticket buyers starving for real rock. With their fourth and latest record Fortress, the Orlando, Fla.-based foursome has further refined the alternative metal sound that has become their trademark, adding an emotional intensity that has stirred anyone lucky enough to catch them on tour. (It is no wonder that their live album and concert film Live in Amsterdam rose an astonishing 15,00 spots in 8 hours when it hit Amazon in 2009.) Fortress, which debuted at #1 on the UK rock chart, features the blistering lead off single "Addicted to Pain," a searing indictment of abusive relationships. It is the kind of song fans of Alter Bridge, which rose from the ashes of Creed when that band originally broke up in 2004, have come to expect yet can still find completely surprising. Indeed, while remaining a platform for singer-guitarist Myles Kennedy's soaring tenor and the epic guitar lines or Mark Tremonti (three-time winner of Guitar World magazine's Guitarist of the Year), Fortress is by far the band's most musically adventurous album. Expect their concerts to be no less expressive and expansive.

We absolutely loved coming to this venue to see Alterbridge. My son and I have been AB fans for a very long time and to get to see and hear them in person was exactly what you would expect. I wasn’t too crazy about the opening acts, but Alterbridge was great. Nice venue to attend for concerts!
Truly motivating experience. I went for Sevendust but fell in Love with Alter Bridge. MJT was another band I've never heard of, but they turned out to be pretty good also. SEVENDUST RULES 🕺🎸🕺🎸🎤🎤🎤
Beautiful venue, great show! Love Alter Bridge! Sevendust was great too...
I am biased, but the guys in Altered Bridge and Sevendust brought high energy, rock energy to the crowd and the crowd returned the favor. I am sorry to have missed MTJ, due to work, but apparently they too delivered because the audience was revved up for a night of driving, crunching guitars and drums. Each band brought the songs we all could sing to and introduced their latest that reminds us the Rock is NOT dead.
Absolutely my favorite rock band touring today. Put on a wonderful shoe. Don’t think there was a single person sitting the entire concert
This show ended up better than anticipated. The opening act MJT were different and needed to be mixed better. Sevendust could have been the headliner. They got the audience involved and rocked the old theater. Alter Bridge were amazing and so talented. They also got energy from the audience and put on a superb show.
Alter Bridge is such a good live band. They’re very tight and all such good musicians. If you like a lot of pyro and running around kicking and screaming this might not be the show for you but if you like a great sounding band with a very deep catalog you will love it. This was my fourth time to see them live and I can’t wait for number five.
To start this isn’t my taste in music but went with my husband. He lived Alter Bridge. Finds their music relaxing. I don’t get it. They had a couple of ballads that I did enjoy. Sevendust didn’t do much for either of us and the opening act was honestly a waste of time. It would have been a much better show without them. Did I hate the evenings, no. Would I go again, no. But my husband would. I know a lot of people had a really great time. Just not my scene. I tried.
This was the third time I’ve seen Alter Bridge live and somehow it seems they keep getting better. They’re such talented musicians that it makes sense and looks effortless, but understanding from a musical theory standpoint it’s incredibly complex and layered. They simply never disappoint and are always better live than they are on a recorded album. A true sign of their talent. I can’t wait to see them again.
Seven dust was good was not a good time. Tips were over priced for the 3. Bands could went to Pittsburgh n paid less to see more bands
My 3 time seeing them and they never disappoint. First hats off to the FOH..KIller sound and mix. And to Scotts drum tech...NICE. Best Snare I ever hear live. The system was killer this show. Myles, Best rock singer of our time! Mark, The Randy Roads of our time... Brian and Scott....Just wow..Holding the fort down..Tight as tight can be. Just killer players..! Looking forward to the next time i get to catch them. Thanks guys and to your crew. Alter Bridge- the the sweet candy to my ears.
Alter bridge was fantastic, Tremonti shreds and Myles Kennedy can sing and play. Super tight and rocked to the songs from my childhood. Mammoth WVH was a fantastic opener, hadn’t actually listened to him before and was blown away. Can’t believe how cheap the tickets were for such an awesome show.
The night was awesome! Weather was perfect, Mammoth WVH was amazing, and Alter Bridge was Amazing also! Both bands sound amazing live and put on a great stage show! Staff @ the fair was very friendly also.
Miles Kennedy never fails to deliver vocally. Tremonti is a master of his craft. Excellent concert!
AB almost played a two hour set they engaged with the crowd very well even though Illinois state fair didn’t have the biggest turnout AB deserved they still played like the grandstands were full amazing show and performance loved the night no regrets seeing them
Although there were disappointing numbers in the audience all three bands still put on a high energy professional show. Mammoth WVH, Sevendust and Alter Bridge were really amazing. I hadn't seen any of them live before. I would definitely see them again. For those who have hearing sensitivities, they were very loud.
All 3 bands killed it. First time seeing Mammoth and Sevendust with no complaints here. They sounded amazing. 3rd time seeing Alter Bridge and as usual they always sound great. AB brought it with some new songs and some classic ones while keeping the crowed entertained. They are a basic nothing fancy band that doesn’t need bombs, fire and explosions to cover up why you actually go to a show. It’s all about the music!!! The venue was smaller so it was a great place to see a great band with a little more intimate feel unlike a large stadium. I have been a huge fan from the get go and I hope Alter Bridge continues bringing killer music and shows for years to come. Seems like hard rock is a dying art form in the US which is something that will never make sense to me. Let’s keep supporting these great musicians so we can continue to appreciate what they do!!!!! Thanks to Alter Bridge, Sevendust and Mammoth for making another awesome concert experience. \../
I've always thought Alter Bridge was so underrated & their live performance reiterates my thoughts. Their performance was incredible & Myles Kennedy live was even better than I expected; such a gifted vocalist. Sevendust was electric, Lajon Witherspoon spoke to the crowd like friends. Those two groups were the epitome of seasoned performers. I didn't know what we'd get with Mammoth but was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed them. I am lucky to have experienced such a show. Outstanding!
All three bands Alter Bridge Sevendust and Mammoth WVH were awesome. One of the better concerts we’ve attended in the past two years. Miles Kennedy is a professional!
