About the Allstate Sugar Bowl
The Allstate Sugar Bowl has established itself as one of the premier college football bowl games, having hosted 28 national champions, 103 Hall of Fame players, 52 Hall of Fame coaches and 21 Heisman Trophy winners in its 89-year history. The 90th Allstate Sugar Bowl Football Classic, which will double as a College Football Playoff Semifinal, is scheduled to be played on January 1, 2024. In addition to football, the Sugar Bowl Committee annually invests over $1 million into the community through the hosting and sponsorship of sporting events, awards, scholarships and clinics. Through these efforts, the organization supports and honors thousands of student-athletes each year, while injecting nearly $2.4 billion into the local economy in the last decade. New Orleans and Sugar Bowl is the best. Have been to Rose and Fiesta, both are outstanding but I love the Sugar Bowl experience.
This was my 2nd time in three years at the Sugar Bowl and once again the seats were great. Getting to your seats was tough due to the steepness of the upper level but once you got there the view was outstanding. You feel like your right on top of the field. I don't think there are very many bad seats in this stadium.
I had a great experience at the Sugarbowl and the Superdome.
I hate Ohio State. Terrel Pryor is a cheater. I hate Tressel's sweater vest.
The Buckeyes won so it was a good night. The Superdome did, however, stop selling beer at halftime, with no notification.
The Superdome was a great place to watch the 2011 Sugar Bowl between Ohio State and Arkansas. My seats were in the lower bowl end zone sec 30. My only complaint was the wait in the concession lines. The staff was not trained well. My cashier stumbled when I asked for a regular sized diet coke and regular popcorn. He must have entered the order in 3 separate times. My line was about 10 people long and it took over 30 minutes. Every order the cashier had to run to the back to get any hot food. You think the superdome would have "chutes" just like a regular fast food restaurant and train their staff. So eat before you come or you will stand in line forever and miss the real reason why you came to the Superdome in the first place.
Had an excellent time. The city was fantastic, the people were great, and the game was exciting. Definitely a lifetime experience.
The Game came close to matching the city as both were welcoming venues with exciting moments - we loved the event. And we were at the Rose bowl in 2010 - this game matched that one and the City of NO matched the glamour of the Rose parade!!
Love it go every year best bowl outside championship game.
Kept fans entertained. Loved Fan Jam along with the tailgate party. I have attended other BCS games in other cities but yours is one of the best.
Fabulous event! New Orleans and the Superdome know how to manage a crowd.
I go to Sugar Bowl every year it would be nice if we were able to buy season Sugar Bowl tickets and have the same seats every year. New Orleans great place to bring in the New Year
Absolutely loved watching the Hogs play in the Super Dome at the Sugar Bowl!! Venue was amazing and all the staff was very friendly and helpful!!
Win or lose you can have fun in New Orleans for any Sugar Bowl. Of course, winning always makes it so much more fun. The Superdome is a loud staudium when the fans are hyped and their really isn't a bad seat in there.
Had a great time!!!! Hope to go back every year!!!
Well, the Sugar Bowl game was fantastic but the stadium lacked a ton of things. Cosmetically it is a disaster. Nothing on the inside to look at. The seating is extremely cramped and no foot/leg room at all. The stadium PA announcer was constantly speaking during play and was often wrong on the down and distance. His voice was not very pleasing either. The game was great and the Sugar Bowl committee seemed to do a nice job but the stadium is way behind for such an important game. Also, the PA echo was horrible.
The game was amazing and the Super dome is a fun and loud venue to watch a game if you havent been there before. The Quarter is an amzing place to enjoy the post game celebration.
The atmosphere was amazing. The crowd the closeness to the French quarter. Everything was just amazing. The seats didn't feel like we were upper level. With the monitron and everything the seats were wonderful. A lot better than I expected.
New Orleans is the ultimate place for a bowl game. Allstate puts on a class bowl game!
