  • An unbelievable display of past, present & future excellence

by Mourer on 12/2/21Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

The guest lineup was fantastic. We had a menagerie of Allman family friends and kin, from those who influenced the band like Meters members, and even the offspring of collaborators in John Hiatt’s daughter. The up & coming musicians displayed amazing chops on the guitar. Luther Dickenson and Kenny Wayne Shepherd were tops, but there were so many great moments. The River Kittens, to open, also were very entertaining.

  • Allman Betts Revival

by Bill on 12/2/21Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

Overall it was a great show. Lots of performers and all extremely talented and high profile players and musicians. Shows the depth of the Allman / Betts family and legacy. Venue was very nice and amenities were good. First time at the Majestic Theatre. I would have liked to know ahead of time the performer lineup so I could plan my arrival a bit better - i.e. I didn't know it was going to last 3 hours and have an intermission. I rushed to get there and shoved food down my face and really didn't need to hurry after all. Will plan better for the next year! Loved it overall!

  • Emotional experience

by Allman Trout on 12/2/21Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

I have been influenced musically my adult life by the Allman Brothers band. I am a guitar player, slide player and singer. Having said that, the Revival were able to bring me to tears as I recalled my youth listening to Greggs voice, the various guitar duos through the years and overall how my very being changed when first hearing Filmore East. The number of star studded guest each have the same appreciation for ABB as they recreated the songs with power and thoughtful expression. 4 hour show with a 15 minute intermission.

  • Best Ever and Line-up was awesome

by Thewave on 12/2/21Majestic Theatre Dallas - DallasRating: 5 out of 5

The line-up of the show was super fantastic. Four hours of non-stop beautiful music and talent played. I heard some folks I had never heard before and listened to folks I already loved and knew. Indeed an incredible show. I can't wait for next year.

  • Wonderful show at a fantastic venue!

    by M. G. on 12/1/21The Factory - ChesterfieldRating: 5 out of 5

There isn't a bad seat in the house at the new Factory in Chesterfield. You feel close to the stage anywhere you sit. The Allman Family Revival surpassed all my expectations! The quality of the talent, the sound, the arrangements (where not improvised) and the songs were all tremendous! So much guitar talent in one place - amazing! My only beef was there was a light behind the stage that kept hitting us right in the face and to look at the stage when it was lit felt like staring into oncoming bright headlights. We were able to move and didn't have the issue again. I would love to see this show again in another city! Different guests each time. I have recommended it to many friends and family. Well done!

  • The road goes on forever...

by Howard Park on 11/30/21The Factory - ChesterfieldRating: 5 out of 5

Allman Family Revival - Allman-Betts Band Local boy Devon Allman opened his 19 city tour tonight at the Factory, a new venue in suburban St. Louis. It's great to see Devon continuing the Allman Brothers tradition with a band that includes sons of three original Allman Brothers band members. They do a mixture of covers and original tunes that capture the sound that defined southern rock. They don't try to capture every note of the original Allman Joys and they lack the intensity of their fathers. They make up for it in jamming and an easy flowing creativity. Then there were eleven special guests including the still young legend Kenny Wayne Shepherd and pedal steel guitar god Robert Randolph. Dwayne Betts is the heart of the band. This kid knows his licks and is the one constant in a band with a lot of moving parts. Devon Allman never met his famous dad till he was 16. He lacks the sort of tortured soul that drove Greg Allman. He has the voice and the look but not quite the match of Uncle Duane on the guitar. Yet, he has the confidence and elan to get the best out of a series of guitar gods like Shepherd and new voices like the River Kittens from St. Louis, the opening act. Many of the big names of classic rock taught their children well and the sound still lives and evolves.

by Smitty on 11/30/21The Factory - ChesterfieldRating: 5 out of 5

Was at the Allman Betts concert.. great venue.. great seating… but the lights behind the band blinded all of us in the balcony .. basically a spotlight shining in your face …. Please make sure they don’t shine into the seating area
