We are in our early 70’s! Fairly young for our age but music was not our type!
I thought I would see how these guys interpreted the Beatle songs. I have seen all the Beatle imitation groups and found that "Rain"are the stand-out as far as note for note and looking and sounding like them, but the superior group is the Fab Faux. They don't dress up but their musicianship and note for note performances are the best. Now let's get to these guys. I found their performance fair at best. Yes, they are great musicians, but there were many missed notes along the way and the opening chord to "A Hard Day's Night"wasn't even close. The addition of a banjo to some of the songs was unique, but on the whole, the music was mediocre. On a positive note, It is a fun night for a reasonable price with the lead singer dressing up and performing along with his singing, but on the whole, not the best.
I enjoyed the Beatles tribute music at Birchmere and was impressed with the 7 musicians. However their choice of songs was a bit odd. It was heavily from the last few albums and very light on their first 5 years. So few ballads. Also, their voices do not achieve the harmony that the Beatles achieved. I think the lead singer should minimize the use of costuming and give other singers more opportunity. Overall a B- which could have been a better score with different song selection. Hats off for their acoustic version of Eleanor Rigby achieved without strings. Terrific piano, guitar and drums. Just not always good song selection.
Beacon Theater, Hopewell, Va January 22, 2025. Well worth seeing! Every song as authentic as the original, powerful, pleasant vocals, highest quality professional musicians coming together for an engaging, high energy, entertaining evening. This band is a must see!
What an amazing night !! Every song was better than the one before ! I couldn’t stop singing with them !!! They performed better than my expectations and I was absolutely blown away!! Would see them perform again!!! Highly recommend, Just fantastic!!
The first set was terrible. We almost left. The 2nd set was better but overall it was not enjoyable. A lot of people left after the first set.
It was my 2nd time attending this concert and this time I took my dad 1. We are hardcore Beatles fans and 2. We both have a deep passion for music and instruments. My dad is a musician and he loved every second of it. I will say this group of fine men are super talented !!!
Recommend you see this show! Great musicians performing a wide range of songs all will love.
From the advertisement I thought this was going to be a story telling musical production. It wasn’t. It was Beatles cover band. Disappointed. But it’s the Beatles music so I can’t give it any less stars.
