  • All star comedy festival was hilarious

by MsTeebaby on 10/18/16Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 4 out of 5

My face hurt the next day from laughing so hard. Every comedian on the line up was hilarious!!! I recommend everyone to go see this show if it's in a city near you.

  • The All-Star Comedy Festival was AMAZING!

by LJTSR on 10/18/16Fox Theatre Detroit - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

This was by far the funniest comedy show I've every attended (including Kevin Hart shows). Every comedian was hilarious... Individual styles, an energetic crowd and the host (Dion Cole) was fantastic all night. Great Show!!

Great lineup, some comedians were good but Corey Holcomb never lets you down! He was awesome!

  • Good times good laughs but one unmentionable......

    by 06checknmyview40 on 5/11/14Detroit Opera House - DetroitRating: 4 out of 5

Overall the play was quite hilarious truly comically. I wasn't impressed with Corey Holcomb's stand up line with relation to the graphic nature of women undergoing abortion and the explicitness of the experience as a whole. I thought his remarks were bold, degrading, lacked appropriate content not to mention how this illustrated his lack luster as comic artist. I would NEVER pay to see him in any venue.

All the comics gave great performances. The energy was high, and the audience had a lot of fun. I will definitely keep my eyes and ears open for the next comedy festival.

  • Not that funny

    by Smiley321 on 5/6/14Detroit Opera House - DetroitRating: 3 out of 5

There were only 3 funny comedians out of the 6 that performed. The headliner Corey Holcomb was absolutely ridiculous. Half of the audience stated getting up and leaving because his jokes were not funny at all and they were quiet offensive. I will never go to another one of his shows. Ms. Co Co Brown did her thang and the first comedian after Kool Aide was very funny but they could have kept the rest. Capone was funny too.

  • Good Show, Bad Seating

by JDET on 5/6/14Detroit Opera House - DetroitRating: 3 out of 5

We had 2 of the best seats in house but not literally, the chairs were very uncomfortable. Deon Cole should've brought new material and Corey should've gave the fans his last 5 mins of jokes instead of trying to get to the PPV fight, they had no intermissions. They rest of the comedians were funny.

  • Comedy festival

    by Buttercup777 on 10/24/13Dow Event Center - SaginawRating: 3 out of 5

I was mislead completely For one they never lead anyone to think Gary was gonna be a mc host REALLY SERIOUSLY that wasn't rt even tho he told jokes in between each act then Bruce Bruce OH MY GOODNESS who is he now cuz he didn't give a show at all in my opinion the best comedian was Ron extremely funny and talented although I really wanted to see Bruce Bruce total disappointment and Dominique was putting me to sleep not very funny at all for the money I paid I was sooooooooooo let down and disappointed! If Ron and Gary had not been there there really would not hv been a show at all! Bruce needs to up his game and put on a show for his fans ; and he kept lookin at his watch told same jokes he used before I'm just saying it was a total disappointment all together!

  • Totally Average

    by Flintstone44 on 10/22/13Dow Event Center - SaginawRating: 3 out of 5

    1. I expected more out of the Leading comic. I have seen him before other places so I know he can do better. 2. The local comic did better than the so called experieced comics. 3. The host was the best and should of been the Head liner. I have seen him before as well and he is ALWAYS super funny. 4. Stop selling the smaller towns short. Bring your A game just as you would the bigger towns.

  • The All Star Comedy Festival is a classic

by coollen on 4/21/13Detroit Opera House - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

i was very glad to hear that this show was coming back to Detroit. I attended it last year and had the greatest time of my life, and i didnt think that this years show would be able to top last years, and once again i was not disappointed. Sheryl Underwood was a great host keeping the crowd engage. Rodman had me laughing until it hurt, and John Witherspoon gave the crowd more bang bang bang for your buck. The surprise of the night was rodney perry, his act engaged the crowd and promoted crowd participation. And Earthquake is a comedic natural disaster, he was hilarious. The stage was decorated very nice and rivaled a Tyler Perry play. I will always support this show, and encourage anybody to see this show when it comes to your city. The All Star Comedy Festival is a undeniable classic and is here to stay.

  • Django...or Deranged? Don't know what show he saw.

by Kingofcomedy on 4/16/13OperaHouse - DetroitRating: 5 out of 5

I realize reviews are merely opinions, and as the old saying goes “We all have one”, butt…no bun intended! Ok, I’ll never make it as a comedian, that’s fine. Luckily there are those who make a living doing so. The All-star comedy festival was hands down the best comedy show of the year. The set was beautiful, and the talented was amazing. Now as far as what Sheryl Underwood was wearing wasn’t my concern, and truthfully I didn’t really notice. I did however see what everyone in the audience was wearing…SMILES, from ear to ear.

  • All Star Comedy Jam

by DaJango on 4/10/13Detroit Opera House - DetroitRating: 2 out of 5

The show seemed un-prepaired. Cheryl Underwood was dressed as though she just left the house to go grocery shopping ad remembered she was to host a comedy show. She was also on the stage and didn't know who was coming on next. There were lapses where the comedian came out to no music or intro. Earthquake was funny, but he was only on the stage for about 40 minutes and stopped in the middle of a joke, said thanx and walked off the stage...Due to the fact that the house lights were being brought up, no fault of his own, Whichever promoter put this show on, wont have to worry about my business again..It was amaturess at best and the comedians might want to think twice before dealing with this promoter again..All money aint good money, when your reputation is on the line..

John Witherspoon had us in tears. All the comics were great. Wish people hadn't started to leave or the show may have went on a bit longer. Sorry, Earthquake, folks had somewhere else to be! SMMFH.
